Megane 225 brakes?

I have searched the Internet but not managed to get a definite answer!

I have been offered a pair of Megane 225 brembos callipers, 182 mounting brackets, braided lines, and 300mm discs for £400! Mintex 1144 pads also, the whole set has covered 3k miles.

I'm on the verge of buying them, I just need to know what part of the callipers will need to be machined so it will fit behind my 15" team dynamic pro race 1.2 alloys ? I will be mounting them onto my standard 280mm discs

Any help, pictures, or diagrams would be much appreciated thanks

The face which sits against the bracket around the mounting bolt holes.

At that price buy them regardless.

As said above, what offset TDs? But you will need to use spacers to space your alloys. Between 10 and 16mm I'd imagine.

You'll need to run 280mm discs as I don't think 300mm will get under 15s.

I had some of the edge of the caliper machined in addition to the mounting face described above, but I'd only recommend that if the person who does your machining knows that the hell they are doing.

They're part of the roll centre correction kit @NorthloopCup and @BIGASH do. Brilliant bit of kit.

I think I've just seen them on the PMS site, bit much for a road car for me I think. Are you not worried about dirt getting in there, I see PMS do a rubber cover type thing.

They aren't PMS mate, unless they've copied them. They are designed by @NorthloopCup.

You need to clean them regularly

Oh I see, yep PMS do similar ones i guess then! I guess they look so good its a shame to cover them up!

They come as part of the roll centre kit mate I'm afraid.
I could do them seperate if needed.

Fair enough. I've just done some reading on improving bump steer and its way past my knowledge of this sort of thing. Nice touch though :up:
