Looking for some feedback on the SC conversion you guys/girls have had done. Bits I would like to know if you don't mind is the basics, issues, traction problems, anyone had lsd fitted, mpg, cost, how it feels compares against cars like Evos, scoobys and last of all, was it worth it?

I am looking into this myself as I want a fun pocket rocket for the warmer weather however I cam concerned about the traction side and the £1700 cost is hilarious!

If you don't want to post here due to traders etc drop me a pm

What cost £1700 mate? Thinking of selling my SC Clio if I'm offered the right money

£1700 fitted for LSD

Yes fella I am intereasted and if you know my history of cars you will know that I am genuine.

If you can pm some info for the spec of the car please and a indication of the price.

You wont need an lsd for traction ant.

With SC the power is very linear so quiet smooth. The ones iv seen dont tend to spin unless you want them too.

That was mine, it wasn't dry, it wad damp with very very bald proxes on the front! LSD isn't really needed but obviously would help! Deffo not an essential though!

If you read my project thread in the projects section you will find every piece of info in there, costs, mpg, races with bigger cars, pics, info, reliability etc etc...... :)

To be fair you will spin up if you get a bit excited but generally if you use a bit of throttle control you should be fine...as the boosh says the delivery is very smooth so traction and wear+tear isn't as much of a prob

I have read through yours and it looks good. 20mpg though lol. I was hoping for a bit more as that is as bad as my M5 :clown:

Everything holding up OK?

Not driven a supercharged clio, but our quaife LSD made a whole load of difference to our ITBd car. You can drive the car in a completely different manor its brilliant. My favourite mod we have done to our car.

How are you finding the traction?

Traction ain't an issue when you hve decent tyres and you learn how to drive it with the power delivery!

I have got more than 20mpg, I've got like 30mpg before out of a tank but I hve never driven as slow on my life, 5th gear everywhere and driving at 20-30mph everywhere! In the real world I average at about 20-25mpg, TOPS!

Me and the mrs have decided to save for a house and owning this gas guzzler isn't the way forward. Think I'm gonna be going for a gt tdi golf with a few subtle mods and a remap. Still got some pace but 40 - 50mpg. Really love the Clio though. If I get a payrise before I sell then it might stay ;)

I'll check that pm now
