Mk1 Clio to 172 Conversion engine mounts

Before i go out and make the mistake of buying something that will be an arse to fit into my project car i wanted to ask will a 172 engine fit into a standard 1.2 mk1 clios engine mounts or will it need 172 mountings or is it just an arse and should use a valver?

Yea all the same except the rear gearbox maybe different and you need to drill a hole in the subframe if using a 172 gearbox

you do? I put A 172 mount on my mk1 and it bolted straight on

All of my mounts are 172 items. (mk1 with a 172 engine)

ideal, makes life slightly easier now is all i gotta do is find one thats fairly rust free, hopefully 1995 - 1998
