Mk1 Golf in brief so far

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
does anyone know if its a MOT failure if the seatbelt doesnt fully retract? drivers one doesnt go tight when u take it off, passenger one needs a bit of work, the moron before me had glued the seabelt bolt in.... nice

Nice work with the interior.. The bits you sprayed black made a real difference!

Ive got some seat belts you can have... I will double check they work when im next working on the rocco.

Standard lights are better IMO, but I do like the cheque interior! Retroness ftw. Wish my seals were in that good nick!

standard lights are vile, im not a fan lol, the new ones are cleaner, nicer lines. but if i do want to swap its like 10 tiny bolts lol

the seats are so immaculate... but then it is a low mileage car. well was.. not much is original now lol

the plan is to cut up the front seats tho :D haha

Did you use rope string to put the rear window back in Laura?

That's the best way just incase you're struggling.

aye still here, technicians dont have a clue.. all they know how to do is plug a computer in haha.
bit of patcience some researach and i should be able to do it myself :D

just the ignition module and fuel pump that worries me... and the fuel lines... actually i dont think i have any of them lol, i keep remembering things i need to sort :S

gally nah went with the push and fold technique, worked well i just ran out of patience

no, well yes... but no lol

interior is all black windows can be removed to be painted in about 5 mins. non of the exterior trim is going back on apart from thimgs i need.

the idea is to get the car running MOTd etc then i can drive it to be painted and do it all in a weekend. i cannot afford to throw more money at trailering and recovery.. ive spent getting on for about a grand just moving the car about lol

rear window in! woop for washing line lol

Getting an mot with no windscreen could be difficult lol

i might have been hitting the crack pipe a bit hard but i'm sure if there is no glass atall it can be mot'd. think it has to be all or nothing

What did you use to get your bumpers all fresh? For the Bora's rubstrips I had that Halfords bumper paint stuff, not sure if the bumpers are a bit "too big" on the mk1 for a good finish though?
