Bit of an odd one this. Even though my Cup (18 months old, 10k) is perfectly fine on a daily basis today something strange happened.
I headed off for Castle Combe around 8:30am, roads were fantastically empty so I hammered it all the way after the car had warmed up. Nothing unusual really, everything seemed fine. Fast forward to 5pm, left the car park to come home and the car felt fantastic, smooth as anything, acceleration felt quicker and overall it just felt much more responsive and easily the quickest its been since I got it.
Any ideas why this should be? I usually head off for work at a similar time Mon-Fri but the roads are so busy Im lucky to see the fun side of 3000rpm, when I come home after work its fine but takes a little while to really get going. Could hammering it this morning really have helped that much? I know the Cup thrives on revs but I was suprised that giving it some really loosened it up that much.
If this is the case I think people should ignore Cups for sale that have been "not driven hard", much better to get a loose one!
