This is how it ended up after the weekend. Fag lighter easy, knob I had to saw off, and drilling holes in for the surround was fun! Still... happy with all that. Now the problem is somethings missing, can you guess what it is lol? I have a Richbrook gaitor too, but can't quite work it out? It says on the packaging, fitting instructions included, but I didn't get any  I was first of all trying to figure does it go right underneath the plastic, or is it screwed inbetween the surround?

The bottom of the gaitor doesn't seem to make it obvious...

The top of it is kinda pathetic and doesn't do up nearly tight enough, any ideas?

I still have the plastic part of the original gaitor, do I need to use this? Problem is it's cracked, which is the reason I went to replace everything in the first place...

Any help much appreciated, maybe I should email Richbrook for the fitting instructions? btw, do you like my knob :approve:

Someones been to halfrauds!

TBH aftermarket shizzle like that never fits properly!

However, you can replace your cracked renault gator thing for a few £££ from a local stealer.

Eh I got all the stuff from speeding.co.uk which is Richbrook's offical online seller. The surround and knob have fitted fine also  it's just I don't really know where to start with the gaiter, don't wanna f**k it up!

Buy a genuine Renault surround (£6). Remove the "leather" gaitor (held in with staples), and glue the new one to it. You can use the cable tie from the Renault gaitor and glue it inside the richbrook one, then tighten. Do that first, then press the bottom plastic plate into the big plastic centre console trim otherwise you won't be able to do up the cable tie. I recommend bonding the new gaitor plastic surround with sealer onto the centre console trim too as they're weak as f**k (yours is snapped which I think proves this).

Edit: you may need to take the chrome trim off to get the new gaitor on for now.

Hey thanks mate. Shame there's none on ebay atm, as getting to my local dealer is a hassle, might wait around and see if one turns up as there's one for the Clio 3 up there atm.
