My dirty little secret...



Right ecu is being sent today ort tomorrow according to Pmurray... fingers crossed! lets hope that it arrives intime for friday, as its street wars on sunday and im going to have to iron out any running problems at night...

i bet you are!! after all the work ive put into mine i will probably just let out a sigh of relief that its not all been for nothing lol then quickly followed by cracking open a beer :D

what did you do about exhaust? made your own downpipe?

Is this just a 172 mk1 conversion?

Just read the thread but its over my head lol
 
right well now the adrenaline has cooled down a little, so i can type properly i can tell you what its like...

starts nice and quickly and settles down to a nice idle, pull away instantly you can feel theres alot of torque there, then put your foot down at about 5mph and it'll go from 5-15mph then upto the limiter from wheelspin, into 2nd, still struggling for traction before you know it its limiting again, into 3rd, powers its way through 3rd, pulling its self side to side from torque steer(nothing like the 172's) limits 3rd at about 95mph.

all that happens withing 9seconds. i had a 11ish 0-100 time.. will get proper timing soon!

I duelled one yesterday - 187bhp / 850kg

Its rapid, I had it (as far as I know) until 3rd but I missed 4th as I was overtaking a lorry so concentrated on safety first, but it definately flew past me, not just edged past me :)

Gear change may have made a small difference, I also had the lead from the lights so he may have been faster but not enough to pass ;)

u making some sort of cover for the coilpack? as when i put my bonnet on i found the scoop sits directly on top of it lol (morrisons carrier bag is currently stopping it from getting wet lmao)

oh and i picked up a full 172 gearbox mount last night, looks like i may have sprayed the valver one for no reason :rolleyes: live and learn lol

all i need now is the lower part of the 172 engine mount :D

not sure whether to use the valver rad aswell, the 172 rad ive got is nearly brand new!
