MY EP3

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
Just taxxed it for 6 months, MOT is 10am tomorrow, but my tyres havent come yet, so expecting at least an advisory!

Cosmic really is a lovely colour in the sun. This car hasnt been detailed, polish or waxxed for ages from what I can tell, and after a quick wash yesterday with just a wash mitt and some Posideon Soapy stuff, it really pings in the sun.

IF she gets through the MOT fine, Ill treat her to a Claying, Polish and Wax next weekend.

As I say, thats a wash and dry, no detailing!

Frigging hell, that doesn't half sparkle for what looks such a dull silver usually.

I was pretty suprised too when I noticed it in the Sun. Guess thats why they call it Cosmic! Im in talks with Gally about what products to get to make it shine! I just need another £50 lol

Just passed its MOT, no advisories at all, guess I didnt need new tyres....

13 Months Mot and 6 Months tax on it now :)

Cheers guys! Dont know what to do next, wheel refurb or Double Din?

Thought ID throw some up of the interior. The pics look a little faded (phone pics) but The red is as red as it should be :)

Oh and I fitted a new Pollen filter today, mainly cause it was easy and only cost me £11 lol. The old one was pretty clean though really, but its done now.

^^ Agreed, I don't like double dins.

Get a wheel refurb, go to fred@btm and he'll get them sent to the wheel specialist.

Make you sure you get the standard colour, anything else looks cack on these wheels, IMO.

I'll be taking off my winter wheels this weekend, and because I have the Jimny I won't need them again. Rims are fine but do have curb marks but still loads of tread, let me know if you're interested.

Each one of mine is curbed a touch, hence the refurb, I want them mint :) And I have 2 brand new tyres ready to fit (when they get here!)

But thanks anyway

Love it mate lovely recaros in these never been on a type R.

I would go wheel refurb if they need it. Fresh Oem wheels ftw.

I meant as spares ie Winter/Track wheels. They'll be on the Civic forums in the next few days.

I can just afford to keep 1 set mint and tyred :p

TBH I've just had my end of year bonus from work confirmed, Could get some Rota Torque with Fresh rubber? But Im thinking a K-100 and stockers refurbed is a better way to spend a grand!

Yeah I'm sticking to stock wheels, not enough people keep their EP3 looking standard.

Im happy with how it sits, A wheel refurb and a detail will finish the outside, a head unit for the interior, then Ill start looking at increasing power, or moving onto an Evo 8 or something.

Good plan!
I need to detail mine so badly. Looked awful in the sun today, the swirls are ridiculous, lol!

NHB?

Mines not too bad, Id say its better than most 55 platers on the road, its just that crack in the front bumper, and obviously, the "scratch" when I first bought it, which has been touched up very well, but obviously is still there.

The lights could do with a machine polish too, theres a few scuffs.

Other than that I think the Clay will sort.

To Celebrate the MOT, I've bought the following:

Valet Pro Posideon Wash
Sonus Clay
Sonus Glyde Detailing Clay Lubricant
Sonus Glyde Clay Bar
Auto Finesse Rejuvinate
Auto Finesse Tough Coat
Auto Fineese Citrus Power

A few micro fibres and pads etc etc, Im off the first week of the financial year (Avoiding business planning meetings FTW), So ill do the calipers and give it a detail then :)

The standard wheels suit it nice, especially with a bit of low!

IF only someone did the stock wheels in 18" (Reps) You can get Focus ST wheels in larger and they look immense an inch bigger!

18'' replicas would look pretty subtle and cool!
What polish do you find brings out the best of the Cosmic grey? I've been using Meguires 3 stage system (topped up with the occasional Auto glym SRP ) which keeps the paint looking cool but I always wonder if there is a better product to make the colour look deeper? Look forward to see the finished result of your valeting purchases!

I saw them the other day, amazing!

And yep, NHB :( I hand polished (not very well) a rear 1/4 last year and it looked amazing in the sun. Sparkles everywhere :D
Body work wise, I had a couple of tiny scratches on the back where someone reversed into me in Asda :( and a couple of stone chips on the bonnet, thats it though.

  172, Focus
I would definately have the wheel refurb done, nothing better than some some fresh wheels

Standard silver is the way forward on alloys.
