I love NY. I went there for a week in December to see all the Christmas stuff. Went up the Rockafella at sunset & it was an amazing sunset that night.

Whats going on with the watermark, it looks cropped on the right.. I'm assuming this is from batch processing a crop after the watermark.

Thanks. I tried to get the watermark as close to the edge as possible because I didn't want it to take up too much of the picture.
I see what you mean tho and it does look cropped. I'll move it across slightly on my future pictures.

This is what I'm currently weighing up. Last time I went in February and it was fairly cold.

1 week in a 3* is £650-700 in January, same standard/location - £1000-£1100 in the summer, but you don't have to freeze your nackers off.

I agree, the view from the rockefeller is spectacular! We was really lucky to go up there on a clear night although it was freezing at the top!

Thanks Liam. Yeah I'm really pleased with number 3. I used the motorsport style panning technique and it works well with all the blurry lights.

Cheers Tigger. I was really impressed with my 18-105 while I was out there. The range it gave was perfect for NY.

The results are also pretty good for a cheap plastic kit lens
