My H/unit, Is it broke

This morning, my HU is stuck at full volume and the volume dial doesnt make a difference. I know the dial itself isnt broken, as you can adjust other settings with it. Do Sony CDX-MP80s have a history of being a bit dodgy? I dont think its going to be a short is just seems like the unit itself has decided to give up.

Any thoughts?

Had a Sony H/U that turned it self at full volume and no buttons was working..........Get rid of it, they are crap units......Get a Alpine!! Never had problems since I got rid of the Sony.

expensive way 2 fix it though

not sure what u can really mate, apart from bang it about a bit and hope somethings just come a lil bit loose

cost a fair bit 2 have any1 look at it though

or u could take it out and undo the case and just hoover blow all around the unit, although sounds more like faceplate has gone up the duff

Im taking it down to get sorted tomorrow. Still under warranty, so let them fix/replace it. will get them to chuck the old std player in if it has to go away, does it play wmas(i know it doesnt play mp3s)?
