My kick pods - not 56k friendly

I think they look better in the flesh! my only critisim is the trimming and the back of the pod (cantr see it in photo) isnt great, also, i built the pods with the speakers in mind, and i didnt realise i still had the grills (as they have never been used) and they are slightly too large.

they dont look as out of place as they do in the pics, but im thinking they should have been done in either vinyl or carpet, or i retrim the green parts of the seats and door cards in alactantara(sp) as well as i have a fair few meters of it!

Eviljohn - lol, thought of that, they are quite well inforced inside and outside with layers of fiberglass and p40 bodyfiller - but if someone manages to get there full wait on them (they are an idiot for not noticing where ther foot is!!!) they would prob break!! What i am worried about is a girl managing to put her heel through the grill!!

it has improved my sound stage beond belif! (well thats the idea) but the angleing(sp) took about 2 weeks to get it right!

Ive been playing around with fiberglass but they do look well good. Have u done ther other side as well?? Hardest thing is trying to make a mirr of something like that.

Where did you get the alcantara from mate? They look really good, have you still got speakers in your original pods too?

im having a go with the old fibre glass too, never used it before, pretty good stuff, messy though! cant wait till its all finished, i got some nice suede material, to cover mine, similar colour to rorries

The guy is selling it, brand new off the role, for £12.50 a metre. He did have 5 metres on there the other day for £75. Its only in grey though i think.

derv - that looks really good, thats building the side wall for your boo build i take it.

hydeyho - got it off ebay, and no speakers in stock positions, but thinking about getting some 6" mids for there, and then just do a bit of metal work to get them in!!

Tom-m - it just needs trimming, its quite similar, but it has to be slightly different as its soo cramped in the drivers sides with the pedals!

cheers, yeah, started on a boot build, unfortunately ive gotta chop a large section out and remould it, cus they are fouling, the little star shaped screw thinng that holds the light clusters ah well, all part of the learning curve.
