My Ph1 172 - Ph2 dash conversion complete, And some new bits ;)

Not put anything up for a while but I've been busy the last few weeks getting my ph2 dash in (Rob's guide, massive help ;) lol!) and picked up some 182 seats and doorcards. Got a carbon splitter too. Really enjoying it atm! - please note, wonky rear wiper is for winter ;) Anyway, I'll let the pics do the talking!

Awesome mate.

Get rid of the tat on the back, the stickers are ruining a clean looking car. Fit fogs, ph2 colour coded strips/ door handles, and it's a goodun!

I just bought one of those Sabelt RS steering wheels.
Bit frightened of putting it in for fear of it ending up looking like yours!

Lovely car otherwise mate. Good work on the conversion!

Looks really good! Not sure I'd have put a carbon splitter on a car that low, think I'd have gone for a skoda one.

Cracking effort. Ph2 dash is a vast improvement. I'd be selling that cup splitter now though. Sell for a decent wedge now instead of a s**t amount in a months time when you crack it on a kerb in the snow.

Looks lovely, but the splitter is a waste of money imo, it will break and you will be sad. :)

Cheers for the comments :) Although first off, Don't stress about the splitter, I bought it snapped in half with bad lacquer damage, and repaired it! It will be coming off for winter though, and putting on my skoda one, Although i got it for next to nothing seems a shame to ruin!

John - Dave can suck my balls, unless a decent offer is made! and the wiper doesn't now that its sitting how it is!

James28 - Yeah the steering wheel is great, I bought it new only about 6 months ago. But Its there to be used I suppose!

Next plans are to get my matched inlets on and RStuner map. Then for next year a RARB, And some engine mods, And back to its track standard come summer! (hence why dave is not getting my buckets) ;) LOL

It's not bad eh? ;) And aye we parted a while ago </3 new ones good for the iphone though :cool:
And i painted the strips silver to brighten it up a bit! Have a spair set carbon wraped but i quite like the silver for now :p

I must be the only person who likes the Ph1 dash and interior! Although not in standard form. Does look good though, nice car.

Nah im good! :p And yeah does my head in too! i had a ph2 item to go in but it didnt have the bit to attatch the cables to, So it got binned. Will get another when i have time!

Cheers mate. It was all swapped over in a day, just had to go for it. Although for the following week i was sourcing clips and brackets and bits here and there, That was the annoying bit. lol

I've driven Ph1's since the day i passed my test, The Ph2 is a nice change :cool:

Nope, You bugged me into selling my turbines cheap as chips, Which i regretted as soon as they were in the back of your car! And as you know how much i got them for you will be wanting them at a good price too. So they will do for next year :cool: :p

Cheers! The Ph2 conversion was deffinately worth it IMO. Much nicer place to be :) More places for holding things too. haha

Love it mate, reminds me a lot of mine when I had it on white 2118's (trend setting IIRC ;) ) Love the ph2 dash conversion too, maybe think about getting a new wheel though that looks goosed lol

It did have Ph2 strips on it at one point but i prefer the black, breaks it up a bit, and tbh i realy like the "standard" look, If you can call it that. lol

Cheers! and yeah i had seen yours previous to getting mine, It made my mind up tbh! :eek: I'd consider a new wheel, But it will end up the same way :(

Silver phs1 lowered on 2118s looks spot on, phs2 dash IMO is so much better looking.

Overall, very tidy looking 172. I wouldn't mind going back on 2118s on my phs1

I'd give you good money for these. If you do wish to sell, seriously give me a shout. By next year you'll no doubt be buying some carbon ex touring car numbers for about a £1 thats usually how you roll ;)
