My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

  Volvo XC60 T8
Good work. I'm sure Renault will be shocked to see that one of their cars actually lasted that long!

  RS2'd Trophy
That's pretty damn special. I bet it goes aswell as the day it was bought aswell!

Great stuff Dave.

That is awesome Dave!

Have you never walked into a random Renault dealer with a serious face on and asked for a trade in price? Just for the LOLz?

They don't know what a Trophy is anyway! High mileage Clio to them. ;)

This little bucket of fun really does make me wonder why so many people are scared of higher mileage cars.

I honestly believe that an RS with correct servicing and maintenance gets better with miles.

I should have one when i used to drive 35k a year min and topped 45 in my Laguna

in 5 years it would have loads of miles

Can you see yourself ever selling it?

Probably not to be honest, too attached to it now!! Deep down, its essentially the reason why im selling the M3 - to keep that, id have to sell this, & that simply wasnt going to happen anytime soon. Most people think im bonkers tbh, preferring some knackered old pink shed over 340bhp of ITB'd German epicness, but this is more fun 99% of the time, & sometimes it takes something considerably better to make you realise that the finer things in life are sometimes the simplest.

Decent power, light weight, & decent feedback from all the controls are what in effect, for me, make a car great, & most importantly fun.

And that is why, in the past 8 years, i have owned 8 french hot hatches (2 x 106Gti's, a 306 Rallye, a 182, a 172 cup, 2 x Trophy's and a saxo vts) - they are imho, the definitive hot hatches of the modern era. Heres hoping that my latest purchase (at the end of the month, cannot flipping wait!), a car that i have also fancied since they were launched in 2006, meets my expectations.

Good work. I'm sure Renault will be shocked to see that one of their cars actually lasted that long!

Well, i have posted the same thread on the Renaultsport forum this morning, so will be interesting to see if Jeremy or any other Renault people notice :)
