Thanks mate. I love it. The wheels are staying silver too when they get a refurb. Black loses some of the class it has I think. Not that it has much to start with..lol

Yeah certainly a lot different to my normal choice of car but Im really liking it. Bose systems are awesome too as you'd know.

Been looking in to the differences between the normal 225 and the QS. They have a different gear ratios but not knowing a thing about them can someone tell me the difference?

The 225 -

1st Gear Ratio - 3.417:1
2nd Gear Ratio - 2.105:1
3rd Gear Ratio - 1.429:1
4th Gear Ratio - 1.088:1
5th Gear Ratio - 0.970:1
6th Gear Ratio - 0.912:1

Final Drive - 3.316:1

Quattro Sport:

1st gear - 3.357
2nd gear - 2.087
3rd gear - 1.469
4th gear - 1.088
5th gear - 1.1086
6th gear - 0.912

Final drive ratio / final drive ratio II 4.235 / 3.273

MOT passed with no advisories.

Also ordered a leather S line steering wheel for it.

Some may be aware they come with an alcantara wheel. Although nice when new they soon wear badly. I could have bought a replacement for silly money but decided to go for a harder wearing one. Whether its right or wrong thing to do I am unsure yet..lol

Prefacelift TT wheel. Where my alcantara one has worn its starting to show glue and go tacky. QS wheels are rarer than hens teeth.

Edit, just read another source saying it will not fit. Order cancelled.

Who does wheel retrims on here? might contact them..

I couldnt tell you mate. Not something ive looked in to? Is it a special brush or any old brush? lol

Edit, just researched. Suede brush needs to be ordered by the looks of things.

Austin might be able to redo it in alcantara. Race glaze alcantara cleaner will make it better though

Haldex service booked and LED sidelights now fitted to match the xenons. Now, do I debadge the rear?

James' on here for comparison however i'd def leave the Audi rings.

The rings would always stay. I did think of just a new badge at the red behind the TT has gone rather pink.

Do it yourself!! The oil is only £50 ... Haldex tool is circa £25 iirc. Dead easy to do as well.

Just phone Audi and found it never had the coilpack recall. Bargain. Booked in for 4 new coilpacks free of charge next friday..

Also ordered new rear pads and discs..Oh and a coolent temp sensor. No mods yet..

I was there but didnt really get to speak to anyone. Got there late (9ish) and left at 2 as I had to go sofa shopping..

Still was a good day although the TT was looking a little sorry for itself with the bad weather the day before. Otherwise it'd have been clean..lol

Im really unsure at the moment whether to refurb the wheels or buy new ones..

All BAM engines are. MK1 Cupras have BAM engines from memory, ergo, dealer is bullshitting.

Thanks gents. Looks much cleaner from the rear now. Also had the seats out and gave the inside a good clean. ( until the mrs got in..) Needs a new grab handle as I hate the fact it has screw marks on it from a hands free kit.

Im still undecided on whether to replace the wheels or just refurb them? Also Im looking at exhausts and coilovers.. Oh and R32 arbs..the list is growing.

When I was looking for a V6 one guy had screwed a handsfree holder to the dash. It was Milano Red aswell! f**king idiot!

Thanks mate. There's a lot about which have had them screwed to the dash. It was actually Audi that did it if it looks like this..

Shocking they'd do it tbh.

Well, yesterday the standard DV decided to die last night and luckily my mate has a spare Bailey DV30 recirc which has been recently serviced so i fitted that last night. Sounds great and seems to work well. Makes a louder noise but doesnt intrude. Sounds better than my old 007p

Managed to get a much better condition QS wheel..

Not 100% but I'll give it a good clean up and get it on..
