Need more RAM

Was thinking of whacking a bit more in. I have 1gb atm. But im not very computer savvy. I have a dell dimension 9100.

What Ram do i buy? I think 2gb overall would be ok tbh. I havent got a clue where to start!!

i also have a Pentium 4 CPU 3.4 GHZ, is this any good as sometimes it goes mental when i use the Computer and have winamp and 2 x firefox running and then i run something else. But very sporadic, sometimes its ok but others it goes insane!

Item 673 on there should improve matters - on top of that do a fresh install of WXP and you should get all of your performance back!

Because if you want it to be faster, you can either bin it, or change the processor to a newer one (that one's dual core - whilst not one of the Core2 range the Dimension 9100 doesn't support those).

Faster/more processors = faster computer.

Either that or bin it and start again.

I have a dell 9150 with a 2.8 ghz cpu. Will that bad boy fit in mine to? Just purchased another 2gb of ram to take me up to 3gb.
