New 172/182/Cup Induction Kit

Kit is with all the Samco 90 degree bend, CAF hose, Filter and Carbon Fibre Airbox, breather filter and all of the mounts to fit the kit will be £225.

Ball Crusher Jnr- What has demon tweeks got to do with it? If you rang up demon tweeks you would get something entirely different. The Samco Hose isnt in their kit, nor is the high quality cold air hose that is included in our kit, you get an aluminium hose feed in the kit that they sell I believe.

LOL@Jon, no ECU isnt included - some people just expect too much ;-)

anyhow, Its £225 for the Kit.

So with this filter, de cat and that R-Sport ECU thats coming along you could maybe get 20bhp????
no chance, 10-12 max (estimated) with decat and ECU (R-sport wont increse bhp that much, just improve the drivability and where the power comes in (i think))

SMT6 however will increase gains if matched to decat and sealed induction kit

our induction kit seems to be much less restrictive than the Viper, so were only "estimating" gains at this point, but will soon have the data which we will publish

Just a few ideas guys.

Run a longer 90 deg elbow, thats too tight an entry into the TB.

Run the breather inlet on the elbow, dont run a filter, not all of the F4Rs have the cam cover breather under the inlet manifold, there will be too much crankcase pressure to vent through that filter, plus it will stink to high heaven and need cleaning quite alot.

Stainless filters, an oxymoron? What made you choose it?

Run a larger radii bellmouth with a taper, as it is its pretty much pointless.

Where can i see a picture of this maxogen thing cos all i can find is someting that looks like a hair dryer and its over £300! Is this the correct part?

BenR, not meaning to sound nasty or nothin but what background do you have in filter stuff. Just wondering why you said about the elbow being too small and the breather being wrong. Ive had loads of cars with seperate breathers and never had a problem or had to clean them. Also whats pointless?

Not much, im just an airflow technitian.

The way to a good product is in the details, making things work, and work well, then work better are 3 different things.

Sorry, i dont understand wot u mean. If that is your real job then shouldnt u know how to spell technician.

You should know how to spell what.

When it comes to flowing the air ... Ben is the man.

If you pulled yourself out of his ass for a minute and read his post u would see that he spelt technician with another t. If he knows his stuff then fair enough.

sorry, im dyslexic

How do i explain what i do?

Without wanting to sound like a tw*t, i specialise in engine development.......thats it. Cylinder head development, induction tuning, component design, camshaft design....and other assorted tid bits associated with tuning.

I like it in there, its warm.

As long as he can flow my manifold, head and throttle body nicely I dont care how he spells words.

ps what sort of work does moving a battery invlove, do you simply run two heavy guage wires into the boot, or ground all the (-) wires off the battery under the bonnet, and then just ground the battery in the boot? (soz about the hijack)

pretty much, earth the battery to the shell in the boot, and run a new + from the front of car to rear

just also run the neg batt terminal back to the original one for the loom in the bay.
so instead of grounding all the (-) in the engine bay, and then grounding the (-) terminal of the battery in the boot, you recommend just runnig two wires down the car to the boot??

cheers
