New ProSpeed Exhaust!!

Big thank you to Charlie, iv got 2" center center pipe and the 3.5" slash cut tail pipe cut into the bumper. Wanted a decat but its not an easy job with the way the 1.4 16v cat is done.

got 1 small problem tho, the exhaust seams to have moved over a little bit and melted the exhaust surround, need to clean the plastic off the tail pipe, any ideas on what to use? and how i can stop it melting the surround?

mine did the same thing - ive gone through 3 surrounds now! - doesnt move any more but has been back to prospeed about 4 times now- needs adjusting mate

i dont have the time to go back 4 times!! im in essex - charlie is in wales!

what does charlie do, move it to the right a little bit? its rock solid i cant move it at all!

Thank god when i had mines done that that has never happened ,Scotland-Wales is a bit of a trek .

autosol or autoglym metal polish will get rid of it. If you have an exhaust centre near you they should be able to adjust it for you

i think its hit or miss whether yours moves or not.

i know of 3 now that have moved so much they've melted the surround.

luckily mine hasnt moved at all from the moment it was fitted... it just becomes erect when its warm

its doesnt move at all i think it was just fixed a little to close to the left.

full picture as in what? underneith or the whole rear end of the car?

im not sure who fitted it, i went into cardiff town center. but there was a guy working on my car that wasnt charlie and he was the person who i watched allign the back box.

Mine doesnt budge at all, its solid! Does extend by a couple of cm's when it gets hot though! Could do with being a bit shorter so when it extends its in the place it is when its cold.

sound is as charlie said "medium sport" its not that loud at all which is just fine for me i cant stand loud exhaustsbecuase he used 2" pipe work he said he would put a slightly bigger back box on that normal to keep the noise down.

Mine moved around at first and caught the surround but it seems to of sorted itself.

You could probably adjust it yourself. Notice all the bungs in the original Renault mount !!!

ah ha! good idea day, im going to go cut one out in a min and see if it moves over, i bet i end up melting the other side!

Any idea where i an get these bungs from, im thinking getting a bigger one for one side and smaller for the other?

charlie put lots of pieces of silicon hose into my mount with bolts going through just to stop the mount having so much play - seemed to do the job - ill take a picture for you now

mines got 3 purple bungs in it, cable tired to the original mount and there is a second mount. im going out now to have a look!

Edit - yeah mine looks like that! but i can see where the differece is between mine and yours

the main problem that everyone has is that the mount is basically crap! way to much movement in it so need some way of stopping it - this was Charlies method!

The Fix!!

Probably doesnt look to different for u guys but its moved over and down a tiny bit, also the surround is melted away so i cant tell excalty untill i get a new one.
