:: New YozzaSport/Bilstein PSS10 172 and 182 Coilovers ::

Guys,

Just to let you know I have posted plenty of info on our new Bilstein PSS10 kits for the 172 and 182 in our Traders section or on ReadyForTheTrack.

YozzaSport Traders Section

www,ReadyForTheTrack.co.uk

Available from September they will be a monotube, fully adjustable coilover kit front and rear. Spring and damping rates are obviously flexible [sic] for different applications - road/race/rally.

Always a Hooligan,

Would i be rite in saying that my cup race car has the same body as these coilovers? If so are you able to get the inserts for them? Would deffinatly be insterested in some new inserts with matching springs for rally use..

Nope, I am afraid not - they are a completely different design.

Yes I can get the inserts that I believe that you may be referring to - are they RenaultSport inserts. They come in at about £2500 for the Bilsteins and £3000 for the Ohlins.

Ohright thats a shame. Yeah there renault sport bilsteins, is that £2500 just for the front inserts nothing else? If so im gonna be selling my spares to make some money lol.

Yum Yum very nice Yoza!!!!

Proper Job :)

Cheers

M

Well - as you know - sensible kit for the job - it's expensive, but you get what you pay for. B16 is bomb proof; PSS10 is a big improvement on the PSS9.

Mike,

from reading your thread about your car - I would suggest that it might be worth establishing (exactly) what you have got as you car seems to be quite a hybrid.

You could find that your dampers at the moment are rally dampers and hubs on a racer box, engine and engine mounts rather than cup racer front dampers onto a laguna lower arm with a RenaultSport lower arm ball joint.

Best way to tell is on the lower mount (end of the lower wishbone/arm->Hub join) - take a picture & I will tell you from that what you have got. If you also want to take a picture of the hub that may also identify it.

Ooh, 'snice.

Im pretty sure its still on cup racer suspension. But ill take some pics anyway just to confirm

cheers

I am not so sure - as you said that the damping was adjustable on the rear - that isn't present on the cup racer dampers.

On ten, no - I am sorry to say... the numbers don't change by any significant margin until 25 units to be honest - Then they do come down considerably, as they would be made in Germany - however, the damping rates and springs would be non-specifiable.

Yeah the rears have been changed for dampening adjustable items, i still have the origional bilsteins for the rear along with a spare set of inserts for the fronts. Ill get a pick anyway just to clear things up.

Mike,

If you can see a part number on the damper that would be useful, but I should be able to see from the bottom mount.

As Fred said - they are available for:

172 Ph1
172 Ph2
172 Cup
182 with cup pack
182 without cup pack
182 Cup
182 Trophy

They will also fit on the 172 Rallye Car.

I am afraid not.

The KW V3 Kits is more than adequate and I don't feel that it is worth developing something at present.

If you would very much like to have a kit made, the cost would be in the region of £500 per damper plus £500 design and build plus VAT.

Best Regards,

Cheers. Just not sure whether v3 would be best for track use although as there seems to be little else out there isuppose it is. Was just hoping to get something that gave the back end a proper coilover rather than a spring and seperate damper.
