Newb here looking to convert!!

Hi people!

I'm currently got my Polo G40 for sale and looking to upgrade my hot hatch to a sport!!

I've been offered a ph1 172 with 118k on the clock, it has good s/history and the belts changed at 88k. Is there anything else I should look for?! Be cautious of..?
(oh yeah is a cat D but was professionally repaired, (jigged?) and had a vic report)

spend 4k on a decent one! better ones than that can be got for 2-3k

Wouldn't touch that car....

But the buyers market for a 1*2 just now is a dream! Plenty of very clean well kept examples for less than £3k around which is riduculous.

Actually depressing how little my car is worth now! Oh and buy a phase 1 172, they look the dogs and with 15" wheels the turn in is slightly better imo
