Parada Spec2 - Opinions? ...and a quick Q!

I need to replace all four tyres sometime this summer once the front PE2's go past their best in i'd say 4k time.

I've had Parada's on my old 1.2 about 4 years ago, but it was a few weeks before i sold the car, so i never really got a chance to push them.

So... people with them on their 172/182's etc... tell me your thoughts! Worth the change from PE2's?

Also, do they look more "balloonish" compared the the PE2, as i'd hate that. In 205/45 fitment.

Thanks in advance.

F1's are my choice. Fred likes the Parada's IIRC, but not meant to be much good in the wet (but very grippy in the dry). If F1's are in the picture, def a step up from the michelins.

Yoko's for me! PE2's are hugely overrated and the treat pattern on the edge of the tyre looks naff...(The Pilot sport 2's look better tho) Like on the vee.

i bought Toyo's but mainly coz a set for the vee was over 700! :(

i've always fancied trying the F'1's.

Use sport contact 3's iirc on the 197. Seem to be great, but when they were almost worn out they sucked ass big time. Seemed to have about 20% of the normal performance before i changed them. was a revelation with a new set on. I was still above the legal limit too.

The paradas look great on rims. How oftern do you change tyres?
If its just road use and there going to be on through winter I would go for pe2's or F1's etc

Since this time last year on the 182 I have used -

F1's in 195/50/15 in wet and dry both on road and track they were excellent.

I then got 4 paradas in the same size, excellent dry road and good on a dry trackday. Used them from July to October in wet and dry roads had no real issues with grip.

I then had 4 toyos, again same size, didnt really like them at all.

In Jan i got 4 PE2's in 205/50/15 and have loved them, less road noise, good grip, good all round. As I have different track wheels I wanted a good wet tyre, maybe I should of gone for F1's ... If only the new goodyear asymetric was avaialble in 15/16 inch we would have a winner!

Road driving I'd go f1's, great wet or dry. Pirelli P-Zero are better than PE2's, and cheaper.

Those contact 3's were VERY impressive when i was on track! held up well for a full 15mins before going off a tad. I wouldn't change them for GD03's

gsd3's are as good as yoko paradas in the wet / greasy conditions. however once its dry the yoko are a million miles better. wouldnt change back now myself.

The best tyre I have found and i have them on my 400 bhp impreza and all the other 300+ impreza owners i know have on is Toyo Proxes T1R.

They are excellent wet and dry and i have a good source for these and can do them at a bloody good price fitted and balanced or might be able to get them cheaper at supply only.

if you p.m. me your tyre size i will see what I can do.
