[PC/XB360/PS3] The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim

  Octy VRS
I've only managed about 20 myself, just up to level 15. It's quite daunting knowing I haven't even scratched the surface, trying to do the Daedric quests at the moment. Got Wabberjack and Mace of Molag Bal. Just doing the Daedra's best friend now. Can't find Sam Guevenne in any tavern to start A Night to Remember as I really want the Sanguine Rose staff.

Sanguine Rose is the most helpfull thing in the game IMO - he helps me out all the time!

Well so far level 39, and 95 hours in.

Iv only completed the companions, iv not done any missions in the dark brother hood and iv not even joined the theives guild yet!!

Im nowhere close on the 'main' mission, only just done the thalmar embasy - i find the game is so much fun if you don't go mission to mission - I tend to do a mission ,then go for a wander, visit a few inns, have a walk around places - stretches the game right out and makes it much more interesting :)

Wabberjack is PMSL funny - I tuned a mudcrab into a bottle of wine, which then exploded lol

90+ hours lol, go Russ! After finishing up the Thieves Guild completely I'm starting to get into the main quest tbh, may join the Dark Brotherhood.

Thieves Guild main story is pretty good, plus I'm still using the Nightingale Armour as it's by far the best

I can't believe how much there is to do - Iv go so many places still to explore - anyone found the lighthouse on the hill? (Not the one you have to switch off in a mission) thats quite fucked up when you first walk in and see the dead body and hear the scurrying/scratching noises.....

Thought I was the only one still on this! About 170 hours so far... Mind you, my internet's still broken so I've got fuckall else to do on an evening in.

Level 15 on my 2nd play-through. Specialising heavily in destruction and conjuration magic with a bit of enchantment and alchemy thrown in. Trying to run through it with absolutely no weapons and no armour. I can deal a lot of damage being so specialised but even at level 15 there's folk who can kill me in one blow.

Should get easier now I'm rocking the Arch-mage robes and my first Dragon Priest Mask.

What's great about this game is that I'm still discovering things despite it being my 2nd play-through and being 170 hours plus in. Recently found some hot springs that I've never seen before. There were a couple of dudes in their kecks just lounging around in them. Also found some big deserted ancient maze type thing which was cool. Nearby there's this wooden mask thing that teleports you to a Dragon Priest shrine. Collect all the masks, put them on this shrine and it gives you a special bonus mask. Who knew?! I'd been flogging all mine.

Lv76 with my main character now and finishing off the Daedric quests before the DLC's announced.

Mental, mental game. Think I'm over 200 hours now.

I love this game - so much variety. I tend to do a mission, get sidetracked, find something else on the way to the mission, get over burdened with stuff so I have to return to a town to sell it, get sidetracked some more. Been spam levelling my smithing and conjuration lately, level 99 smithing now. Once that's done want to improve my resotration to which you can do with equilibrium and healing hands. As a High Elf with heavy destruction, heavy armour and one handed enchanted weapon starting to get quite bad ass - yet still can't kill a blooming mammoth!!!

They're scattered all over dude. I've just picked them up randomly until I checked the guide and realised I only had two left to do!

I've got those two left, then some side quests to complete.

Then pretty much anything else I pick up along the way.

After that, I'll probably just take an arrow to the knee until the DLC comes out.

Smithing makes this game too easy.

I think so too.

1 - Spam iron daggers
2 - Smith all your gear to legendary+ status
4 - ????
5 - Profit!

Including my x3 bonus for sneaking (fairly easy with 100 sneak) I can kill anything in one arrow with my main character.

It's why my 2nd character is a weaponless mage - Make it a bit more challenging.

I've completed the main quests and most of the others as I said. I've got 1000/1000 Gamerscore with all the Achievements but still so many quests and objectives still to do. The map is littered with locations but I know I haven't found so many more. Think my last save was just under 200 hours in.

Will get back on it today

Yeah I've done that with the masks. Took a while working out where to use the wooden mask. I put all the other masks on the shrine and realised I didn't have the mask of Otar. Had to travel round all my houses and former followers to see if I'd passed if on. Turned out it was in the chest in my house in Whiterun.

Thought I'd get an Achievement for all 9 masks but didn't.

Epic game is f**king epic

Still soooo much to do, as said iv not joined the theives guild, barepy touched the civil war or the main quest lol

I am 45 hours in and level 31, I am a high elf but have been using heavy armour and one handed weapon along with destruction / conjuration / restoration. My companion is a mage so between us we tear through enemies now.

Have level 100 smithing so got dragon armour, but having made it it seems daedric armour has better stats, is this right?? Only dragon armound requires 100 smithing and daedric only 90 so you would think it would be the other way around?

I finally got my Enchanting up to 100 by crafting and then enchanting about 30 gold rings.

I'm now able to apply two Enchants on my items with the double enchantment perk

So my Daedric bow now has fire damage and shock damage, my Dragonplate boots have fortify Carry Weight (another 40 points) and fortify pickpocket. My Dragonplate gauntlets have fortify Archery and Carry Weight.

etc.

All good.

I have been playing today. I am on level 8. LOL

I am making a beast of an orc so am concentrating on my weapon skills and armour. Plus been making daggers to do my smithing so I can create some beast items.

Up to level 50 on smithing iirc so still got someway to go.

I can see how this game would get very immersive. I have only played for a handful of hours and I am really getting into it.

A word of caution on spamming the Smithing skill - It's very easy to level up doing it and the world will level up with you. All of a sudden you could find yourself facing dudes you're not quite ready for because your weapon/magic skills are lagging behind.

Having said that, IMO smithing is by far and away the most powerful single skill in the game. The enchanting is good but it's trickier to level up.

I suffered the consequences of making too many steel daggers >.< Had to crank the difficulty down.

I did that! Annoying! for me though having a companion changes the difficulty massivelly. Got that Maurio mage guy and tooled up wearing glass armour and sword all fully upgraded and between us tearing through enemies. Considering switching to the hardest difficulty although in RPGs I don't like the combat to be REALLY hard, I like to feel like I am pretty powerfull.

Yeah true enough. I'm rolling in Dragon armour, but only because it's weightless and I've enchanted the boots and gauntlets with Archery and Carry Weight too.

I've also got 200k gold that I'll never use.

Went for a wander last night as I still need to find the third words of about 4 or so Dragon Shouts. Found a little cottage owned by a guy called Froki, who set me off on a challenge for Kyne (animal spirit IIRC). I've completed most of the Misc Objectives I had so needed some more to get on with.
