Was on right after the Spurs game, mate. So played about 4-5 rounds, I'd say. At Base camp C on Arica Harbor, I saw you were wandering around the artillary generator, as I was in the house opposite. I could hear loads of gun fire so peaked over and saw you crouching down walking around slowly, circling the generator. There were 3, yes 3, medics all circling too, looking for you, like a Benny Hill sketch! I unloaded on them all before they could get to you, but in a panic I accidentally ducked and was firing blindly at the wall in the house. PMSL! Got back up and realised I'd killed all 3 of the b*stards, 2 of them in one burst round

We got battered on Arica, almost got it back at the end but it was pretty bad, finished with the ace pin though.

Yeah we got rinsed on Arica. I had 19 kills and 21 deaths FFS.

That was mental with the medics though, so funny watching you all go around the generator but keeping out of sight of one another. Also didn't realise you could get in the back of it until I saw you in it, yesterday! LOL.

Has anyone come across a player with no rank number before? Am I right in saying that everyone starts on Rank 1 - but this guy just had a blank section? Never seen that before...

Nope, you start on 0, at least on the PS3. Never noticed anyone with a rank over their head though...but then I'm usually running away lol.

Yeah I've seen a few folk on 0 rank, with no weapon specialistations etc.

Only noticed them before because I've had a cap in my ass off them.

Had my best ever score in a game last night....42 for 14!!!!! Was on FIRE! 3 medics in a squad, M60, POW!

Also was doing the UAV / C4 trick...EPIC score.

The in the next game:

Got my elite serivce duty pin (5 days play, 10,000 points) and another gold star pin (5000 points). I've been playing for 40 less hours than my mate and almost got as many points as him now! good swan song before Halo Reach.

LOL yeah that was brilliant. Two of them jumped that wall and got nailed. That bush is such a great squatting place as the enemy runs right past almost every time unaware. Get caught out eventually though. Think I got 26 kills on that second run. Agree the rest of our team was tripe. On White Pass we got our ass handed to us, mind. Thank f*ck it switched to Arica. When you left on Laguna Presa I tried battling through on my own, but got pissed off with team mates so left.

Yeah i think i was upto mid 30's but only had a +5 K/D as we were doing the job of the whole team. Aye a fair few people left after that Arica too and i was getting annoyed at the team so just thought f**k it, so much better when you have a full squad with mic's.

Excuse my ignorance, but is Bad Company 2 a stand alone game or is it an add on to a previous game.

Should say I'm referring to the P.C. game.

Totally stand alone game m8 - and a very good one at that.

I'd recommend doing the single player campaign mode first (only takes around 5-6hours approx) - but it gives you a good indication of various weapons, etc before jumping in online.

Thanks mate, been playing these from the start, MoHAA, then Battlefield series, then Battlefied 2.

Now I'm going to order Bad Company 2, 1 for me and 1 for my Brother, £25 the pair from Play.

Well decided I'd start playing this again as a few mates are and mw2 is a lag fest at the mo and I know you guys obviously like this game but I still find it average. I keep getting kicked out of games cos of the host leaving, then I tried to have some fun on rush by getting a quad and putting c4 onto it then driving it to the bomb and some fella chucked his c4 on aswell which I thought fine but then he detonated it straight away killing me on purpose. WTF sense of humour fail on his part. So I just kept chucking c4 at him till he left the clown. And why as a soldier in a war can you not lie down? Surely they could of added that in. Oh and what's the best weapon to use as I'm on the xb8 now which seems quite movable and not much recoil. But ya get killed by most people on 1 on 1 cos of lack of power whether ya see them first or not.

As for lack of prone, I can only imagine it's due to the massive size of levels, and to reduce camping (a good thing!!!)

"Tried" to play to games yesterday and was on a team that wasnt not capturing anything. So I rage quit. Then went on MW2 and had similar so rage quit

Sometimes it feels great in FPS's just using iron sights and no scopes, etc. I've always liked using the Garand in FPS's where you can't reload until the clip is empty and it has "shlik-ting" noise when the magazine gets ejected.

Yeh in MW2 I always use the Scar with no scope attachment and liked it in 1943 too. It is nice to have an option though.

So is Vietnam essentially just new online maps and weapons, no single player?

I am still pleased with my score of 42-14 the other night...on MW2 that's pretty easy but on this game I'm proud!

It was a Rush game on Val Pareiso - we were attacking. My friend also got a decent 30 something for 20 something, we had a powerful performance! Best overall kill/deaths I've had was 25-2.

When that blew up swtiched to Medic with M60 and magnum ammo + red dot sight. Got a couple of kills in the tank as a gunner too, but mainly M60 rampage.

Was literally just storming them, my friend was also a medic so revived me a couple of times, but in general was just ripping it up!

Boo! That needs banning....... along with those bloody tracer darts! :rasp:

I've found it stupidly accurate at long range constant firing as well. Spot an enemy in the distance, crouch and chew through about 50 rounds. Usually does the job. The only disadvantage I've seen with the LMGs is that they are the gun equivalent of V-Tec-Yo - they take a good few rounds to come up to speed - so to speak. Whereas something like the UMP-45 is rapidly accurate and powerful in short bursts, instantly.
