PH1 Flamer.

  182, SQ7, Trafic
Yes you undo the two inside the TB and it all slides apart.

I've also got an0ther one here which I can refurb and fit for £40

Been out to play in the dark, both screws out using various methods. So the disc is now out of the throttle body, is that as far as it can be taken apart?

And yes some had been at it before and failed.

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
I've got about 6 ph1/megane TBs. Have to mod the cable for the megane one, but if you don't improve your current one, they're there

Well after some persausion my throttle body was cleaned, previously the two bolts in side had been rounded off :(. Cleaning it seems to of done the trick, no more sitting at traffic lights with the the car revving itself!!
Then i fitted the nimbus heatshield and removed the old bracket for the airbox.

After doing that i got abit excited with the hole saw and swager (thanks to LewisTaylor for lending me this!) 18 holes late my car looks like this, was a pain to do with the radiator still in place :p

The eagle eyed will notice a little screw in my wing, this is the key to holding my bumper on perfectly all the time!
IMG_0003-3.jpg

Then i actually washed, waxed and polished the car. Only to reveal 100's of scratches all over my car :(
IMG_0226.jpg

I have also come to the conclusion i need my air bag system resetting as no matter what i do the airbag light will not go off.

Got Tax and insurance this month. And MOT next which it should pass. So there wont be much progress.

Engine bay looks awesome mate :) Much better now you've ditched that old carpet from behind the engine ;) Might try your idea with that screw as mine hangs down a little there...

You were very brave doing the whole sawing with the radiator still in lol.

With regards to MOT i take it you know someone if you have your airbag light on?

Also you need to unbolt your horns and bolt them on facing upwards :)

Looks awesome! I hope mines looks half as good once I've started it.

Cheers :)

Cheers! The screws work well, my bumper hits things all the time and it's still holding tight.

One day I will remember do move the horn! Lol.

I was careful when drilling, it was tense at times.

MOT I have 3 places that should do it no problem :) hopefully it will work out, I wouldn't mind getting it reset tbh just to clear the dash.

The cars being a complete pain atm, took the clio to my Dads work so i could get away from the rain. Purpose of the trip was to see where my exhaust was blowing from. Turned out to be from the cat.
When laying under the car looking at it the right handside spring bolt is holding tension and the left is just hanging there. Tried to tighten it, then put washers on to give it more tension but still no good.
Any ideas? Hoping i dont need a new cat fitting kit as its only done 1.5k.

Few pics.

On the drive home there's a nice stretch of road and the car was pulling all over the place. Also just before going to the ring my car was making a squeek noise when moving slowly.
So Saturday i got some Lemforder lower ball joints and track rod ends. Hoping these would sort the problems, theyve also never been changed in 76k so cant do no harm
After swearing and moaning they all got fitted (no pics). Just need to get the tracking redone.

The bad news is it didnt stop my noise, but the car drives nicely now :) ill investigate the squeek some time.

Glad you got the ball joints out in the end Dan:)

Pretty sure you get a years warranty on them too
Ball joints were a pain on mine, i was fortunate enough to have my car on a 2 post ramp to make life easier, wouldn't of wanted to do them off axel stands.

My tracking needs doing badly atm too after changing track rod ends.

Same, my wheels at like 10 o'clock direction when driving straight, i did measure the distances but obviously not very well

Cheers :) was close to giving in.

Depending on money I may order some poweflex anti roll bar things. If I do , do you fancy helping me fit them at weekend? :)

Sure, let me know a little in advanced when and I can either pop over or you could come to mine, whichever?

They are a massive pita btw

Track rod ends were dodgy :( couldn't get past 10mm of toe in. ECP gave me some more and they're fine :) new cat gasket and tracking getting done tomorrow.

Running so much toe out atm the front tyres squeal round round abouts. Hope thats why anyway lol

Spur of the moment thing, cup interior came up for sale under a mile from me and i knew my mate wanted my flocked dash.

SO yesterday i ripped out the ph1 interior.

Dash ready to be dumped,

Then this morning i took some finished pictures of the fully wired in PH2 cup dash and front door cards :) just missing the steering surround which im getting at some point.
IMG_0249.jpg

Interior could do with a respray and its perfect imo. Also need to tidy a few wires and sort the heater controls out as they work different to the ph1, as in they go from 7oclock to 5oclock on the ph2 but 1oclock to 11oclock on the ph1 if that makes sense.

Sprayed a few bits satin black also to match the wheels and interior,

I apologies for the lack of pictures during the dash swap but tbh it was the last thing on my mind.
Also insured the car fully comp for £790 for the year everything declared, happy days :)

looks lovely with the cup interior, your car is really coming together nicely :)

Also the photo on FB of doing the dash swap, i noticed the hack saw on the floor, pikey motorsport at it's best ;)

cheers, suprised you spotted my mini hacksaw! Problem was on my old dash the wires ran all round the tubes so i had to do some cutting of the dash to get it out. How ive done it now is much better imo.

Looks loads better now! Where'd u get the interior in the end??

Thanks Kiel, Got it from spud1985 on here. Hes building a track car so got rid of the his interior.

Yeah still think a ph2 dash is on the cards for me too, looks good mate

Go for it! the car feels nicer to be in now tbh, also its rattle free :p

  Arctic 182, GTD

Old exhaust mount,

New rubber fitted, (thanks to KielT) stops it banging up and down, does vibrate a little though.

Drive by pic, ill get a drive by video of the sound of the decat/induction sounds pretty awesome.
IMG_0364.jpg

Car is also now sporting a miltek decat and a years MOT (no advisories, which shocked me greatly!)
Had the car weighed also at 910kg, giving me 203bhp/tonne :)
Also I did a 1/4 mile drag against a megane R26 which only managed to pull a car length on me which i was happy about also!

Where did you have the car weighed mate. Also did you get the car on the dyno to see if your home made induction kit made any difference.

At the MOT place, weighed it on the break tester. He reckons its proper accurate.

As for dyno it hasn't been tested since cams, at which point the tested it with the ktec induction and it made 185bhp, as my induction is literally the same I guess it makes about that :)
