I have actually set my car diet weight, i want 930kg with a cage.
Im unsure if that is doable with retaining the dash as it is,

Pole positions ftw ;)

930kgs sounds doable.

You have your ally bonnet to go on yet and get that front bumper off and get cutting more holes!

Also you have loads more tar patches to come off yet and glass still in place where poly carb needs to be!;)

....oh and your exhaust has too many heavy silencers:rasp:

funny you say that, the tar behind on the rear pannels came out today! That doenst leave any that i can see! unless im missing some? (excluding the roof)

Alloy bonnet, slam pannel, roof lining, carbon door cards, manual windows, poly carbs, properly gut the boot, gut the doors, drill holes! so many ways to lose the weight still :)

My exhaust can stay as it is for now, untill it snaps in half or something :p

Can i get to them easily? Im not busting my ass here! Also see in the picture where i cut two holes on the b pillar? Was thinking about making that into big oval.

Is that a good idea?

the reason for 930kg, is after fitting my new induction (currently being built in my shed) it should be roughly 200bhp per tonne :)

  ph1 172
I thought that would be the reason ;)

Huge amount of work to get to the patches mate.

Personally I would leave them as a pair of holes

Ill leave them then and the holes as they are!

just been looking at my wheels, all 4 tyres are fitted the same way lol. So ill have to go get them changed :( dont know why i didnt realise earlier...

SO my tyres are fitted the right way, it was me having a special moment

Stuck the front two on, looks alright. Need to paint the centre caps white and fit them or get some others at some point.

Will stay like this untill i get back from the ring, then I shall run the F1's full time.

PS. i know my cars filthy!

  ph1 172
Scott's are alright though. Just got to space up one side. It's only for the next couple of months of track days then they will come back out

Needs to be spaced up nearly an inch, which is mental. Might chop them, grind the edge off and get it welded back together.

Or get weld in rails.

I might have a different batch to scott or something? wouldnt be nothing to do with it being a ph2 i would imagine.

Cheers!

Will be the safety devices 6 pont. It will miss the dash. There's not many pics of it on here, but has door bars, a x in the back and harness bar. That makes it sound like any other cage lol.

Apart from the fact I have no rear carbon cards and standard seats our cars look quite similar, especially withy my anthracite track wheels on. Mine must be the poorer sibling lol.

Took the car to the Ring this weekend, worked fine untill we were coming back and the throttle was sticking/jerking my car back and forward.
So this weekend ill sort the throttle body, fit nimbus heat shield and clean the inside as its pure filth.

Few pics. (Im sure there will be a proper media thread up of the trip soon)

The best and biggest pizza place ever.

My door handle snapped off whilst there.

Got home and fitted the F1's all round and dropped the rear 15mm, also got rid of the 15mm rear spacers for 5mm spacers.

After a £6 clean,

My new induction thing, very similar to one that was tested on my car and made decent gains. Sounds brilliant too.

Swapped the throttle body for another one tonight and my problems seem to of gone, ideally i want to get like a refurbished one if thats even possible? if anyone has any info let me know :)

The old one has hardly any spring back in it, both the little bolts in the middle and half way in and the heads (star keys) are rounded.

Also been considering making a PAS cooler, cant see why this wouldnt work using some stainless tube and bending it as i can do this for free.
Technical diagram below. (white would be the hose, yellow the tubing)

Ive also fixed my bumper on properly self tapper hold it up where it was dropping and is still quick release, fitted the nimbus heatshield also.

You can take it apart!

I promise to use at least one cable tie I'm that price too ;)

Pinochios is fuckimg awesome

Danny you are making me feel special,

All i can do is take the throttle body and throttle position sensor off. Cover with spray, clean off and repeat. Spray spring.

Am i missing something?

I've got a fully working throttle body from my phase 1. Covered 44k in excellent working order before having it removed f
