PH1 SI 16v

this is my very first clio i owned which is now waiting to be sold on. this is copied and pasted from another forum btw.

ok life started out as a normal 1.4 16v i wasnt "upto date" on my modding and this being my 2nd and a decent car i thought id give it ago.. ( pics are not in order)
this is the car back in march 07

decided i didnt like riding on stilts and went and bought a full Pi decking kit lol

thus it now sit 60mm loer to the black stuff

then i bought some drilled and grooved black diamond disks and painted my calipers yellow

decided i didnt like the standard pedals and imported these from italy

also hated the carpet so that was ditched in faviour of this bit of blue lol

up next was these infavour of the silver headlights

then i wanted my amp on the back of the rears so...

then added my 2 1000watt subs (neons have gone now)

was time for some styling i thought so i bought this genuine carbon fiber spoiler from k-tec racing

thought id run with the CF look

also did some colour coding and smoothing

the roof has been de-arieled but i have no pics sorry

then it was new socks ad shoes time, i bought some 16" oz michaelangelos with nankang 195/45/r16 tyres

then i "leather looked" my parcel shelf

did some engine dressing aswell

got bored quickly of the rear and got this smoothed slightly (still needs finishing off tho)

sprayed my center console and added a custom fit 8-ball gear knob with leather gaiter

also did a spot of polishing

prayed some interior bits 2

added a sparco strut brace and more engine dressing

then it was time to change my direction and turn it into a fast road rep car so bought these

just need the wings and arch liners then its time to smooth and spray
but i trial fitted the skirts

ok so i pulled my finger out and got on with my rear bumper this weekend, cars dirty but it follows lines nicely

also started welding an eye lid to my bonnet

ok so tonight me and my dad got the other side started and i got the 1st layer of filler on to build it up.

so today i got everything apart from the bumper all sanded down ready for priming.

1 wing (dont have a pic of the other)

i decided to join the skirt and the wing to see what it would look like and imo it looks the dogs... lol

also finished one side of my bonnet which is now ready to be primed ( bonnet is taking longer than i thought fs lol)

ok so with the day off work 2day i finaly stripped all the paint off the bonnet and ready for primer or so i thought untill i found tiny holes in the filler so i had to apply a thin layer on both side also got both wings in 1st coat of primer (sorry only got a pic of 1 wing)

ok so this weekend was very productive thanks to a bit of help from tom,
here are my tools lol

so 1st of all was to wet and dry the bonnet for a glass feeling (also left you a message lol)

then 1st coat of filler primer to sort out the pin holes then wet and dry ready for 2nd coat

then 1st coat of normal primer (not got final pic sorry) but bonnet is ready for paint now lol

been a nice day to day so guess what, i gave it a shot of spraying using my compressor and gun enjoy....

how it look this morning ready to be turne blue

ok so now i have my garage things may pick up abit, so while my dad started on making my work benches i tidied up a wee bit, sorted out my office then made a make shift bench and got out my sander with its 1 remaing pad and set to work on THE THINGS new front end.

finished sanding

1st layer of filler and fixed the crack

2nd layer all i need to do know is sand down its its ready for 1st coat of primer

i got a hell of alot done today, with they help of my garage buddy...

who unfortunatly didnt last long...

anyway back to progress, shot with filler primer

then i rubbed it down and shot it with normal primer

then got 1st coat of paint on it

then went on coat 2 and 3 but theres a couple runs as i was distracted by my mate so it needs cuttin back again.

then had another idea lol

hmm maybe the amp should stay there..... and stay it did

ah well time to do some more relocation and refitting lol (aka the ole switcharoo)

another brill idea i had

not got done what i intended to do on my week off as i had jobs in for customers so they took up my time but i did get all my paint props 2 winston for hookin me up cheers pal, so the front bumper got a 2nd coat but summit got stuck in the gun and then shot out fast and cause a run so that needs sorting also got my bonnet stripped of the reaction and ready for primer and got my wing sprayed and decided to tint my windows which need a bit of tlc to finish also test fitted my badboy but forgot to take a pic but meh lol. ENJOY.

TA DA ITS A HALF FINISHED 172 REP, needs fogs, spacers and rear disk conversion, also paints a bit dodgy but meh stuff it i say tbh and needs some brackets makin for the sides.

also needs a good clean.

not really updated in a while cant say ive really done much cept afew tweaks with my sound system, oh and bonnet needs only 3 more layers of clear coat also i have got odd new fancy coil packs lol and found something else to spray lol

not happy tbh the G6 didnt buff the bonnet so it still looks dull so more lacquer needed (ill get sum 1 else do tht) and to top it off i hit the garage door when movin it so now its got a dent fs all tht work for nothin... on the plus side its now on the car at last

and that is where the story ends for that car now i have my 182 lol hope you enjoyed reading and yes i know i went OTT and "tacky" with some stuff but it says at the begining it was my first time "moddin" a car ha ha

Doesn't look too bad, standard rear lights and some oz f1's should make such an improvement as for the paint being dull, this is due to halfords cheap paint as I had the same problem, and same again with the orange peel effect

Well done mate. I'd love to be able to do stuff like this myself. Some ph1 or ph2 172 alloys would look great and some standard lights.
