Just bought myself a Sparco 'Ring' wheel in suede to replace my crumbling RS-1 item. :(

i'm trying to get an idea of how it will look whilst i wait for delivery...

i know GDI's demo have my exact wheel, so if anyone has any interior pictures of this, that would be great.

Thanks

Chris

The black engine looks sweet as fook. Shame more people don't do that.

the samco bend in that pic, is that a 172 fitment, or universal (sp)?

  MK2 Audi TT - 2.0T dsg.
That's a nice wheel! how much was it? where did you get it from and was it easy to fir :) ???

  Audi A6 (S3 on order)
Momo milenium evos ... about 150 + 40 for boss.

Easy to fit.

(you need two 3 ohm resistors to keep airbag light off)

((I got mine first)) ;)

Did you know, that your belt pretensioner in case of crash at first adduct you hard in seat and following the belt pression decrease to lay your head soft in the 2 step airbag? In your case there is no airbag and your head knock hard on the steering wheel :dapprove:

im sorry my english is very bad but please use new belts in assembly with non airbag steering wheels.

Something like this

your pretensioners will still work if your use a resistor in the loom, as Ross has.

if your airbag light is extinguished, you'll be ok.

yes he works and thats the problem!

At first it press you in seat an after that, belt pressure will loosen, thats normal working progress. The Clio pretensioners do not only pres you in your seat.

Thats reason for no legal non airbag steering weel in germany :(

I thing I get what William is saying:

The pretensioner activates and at first pulls you back in your seat. This allows the airbag to deploy without exploding in your face.

After the airbag has inflated the pretensioner slackens and your upper body moves forward to be cushioned by the bag.

If there is no airbag your head is released into a nice hard steering wheel...

Thanks! So its working simplified. Specify there is a two step airbag system installed. Thats is more complex.

Im thinking of getting a new wheel as i find the standard 1 well tooo big.Is it ok to leave the air bag light on or does this need a resister for the other air bags to work.

As i was gonna fit the wheel and then use a resister when it comes to MOT time

Ok thanks but are the resisters needed to can i leave it without the resisters are the resisters only to stop the airbag light from showing or for the other airbags to work

Thanks
