Plain Keys

I recently got a 1.4 clio 2002 reg
I have one plain key that does the doors and starts the car and one key blade that again does the same, it's just frustrating having to remember use the lock button on the dash to lock and unlock the boot, I keep seeing about having to program keys for immobiliser but is that necessary for central locking if I can start the car with just the key blade, could I not just synchronise a new button key to the central locking?

Doesn't sound normal too have too have to do that. Do your doors lock when you drive off? If so get in car turn ignition on just so all the lights come on, then hold the lock/unlock button for 5 seconds. If they dont then I don't know sorry

No the doors don't lock when I drive, the button on the dash does lock and unlock the all doors, just when I lock the door with the key it only locks that door so if I don't push the dash button the boot stays unlocked. So I have to lock boot and say passenger door with the dash button then lock driver door with the key, was just wondering if I brought a blank one button key I can program it to the car to do the central locking and just fit the blade I already have into it. Not expensive less than a tenner to get a blank key Inc the circuit board. So might just chance it just thought I'd ask here incase someone knew for definite cheers tho mate
