Please any ideas are welcome im getting desperate !!!



Hey all, im sure your all as bored of this as me but im getting desperate now. I just cant get rid of my knock !

Its had new Engine mounts ( all of them ) new driveshafts, new top mounts, new poly Bushed ARB inner and outer, new poly dogbone, new poly Rack bushes, new TRE's new TIE rods, new ball joints, Alignment, Steering rack tightened, heatshield tightened, all bolts checked and tightened, caliper pins checked, all new exhaust mounts, new tyres, coilovers taken apart and refitted, new rear poly bushes and its still clonking !!!

ANY suggestions are welcome guys ive spent ££££'s and its driving me mad. Pretty much entire new suspension and im still in a tumbledryer !!!!!

Mine Ph1 172 has knocked for nine year's, since it was four years old always when moving off (more of a sort of dull noise than a knock). I've lubricated all the parts that could do it, replaced all the suspension and mounts, and I've taken the engine out three times (not to just try and find the noise!). It still does it on the nearside somewhere at the front. Fred the Great (BTM) just shrugged at it and said 'some of the do that'. Unless it's really bad it may be something you have to put up with. Other option is take it to a specialist on here, if you are in the SW take it to Dan at SJM http://www.cliosport.net/forums/cliosport-traders.71/.
 
It's just weird. I'm thinking maybe coilovers are shot, it seems it's drivers side front but might of just convinced myself that ! It makes a nasty grinding noise on full lock left but not full lock right ?
