Safe to say it went fantastically well😂

Next up: Grinder, torches, right angled die grinder. I'm not a little fannyboy and won't need the M12 jacket, I have my own bit of padding for warmth😂

I got my brother one for light work and it's actually pretty good.

With a 4ah battery though, those 2ah won't last long.

I’m just about to start on my power tool journey, have a mixture of Dewalt and Makita in work and nothing at home. Renovating my house over the next few years...thoughts on this to get me started? SDS drill next.

The 12v Multitool is good enough. quite a few tests vs the 18v Dewalt and Makita ones and it makes them look s**t😂

Have had to change a couple on Makita SDS drills. They had been used in/around large mountains of salt though. 🤢

Took a dead one somewhere to see if it could be repaired and he rang us up asking if it had been in the sea or something similar haha.

Keep an eye on the chuck thing on those gen 3 impact drivers boys.

They're known for having a poor grip on the bits and the bits can just fall out.

There's a gen 3.5 which fixes the issue. A new updated chuck isn't that expensive if yours does it.

Saw that! Apparently if the model was made after Dec 2020 then it has the extra ball bearing in the chuck. Will see what this one has! Wonder if I'll be using it enough to tell

Yeah, should be able to tell by looking inside for the ball bearings like you say.

After years of working on cars with nothing but a Halfords tool kit, I recently started to build up my battery powered power tool collection.

I absolutely love my12v 3/8 impact - it's light, small, fits in so many places and will do 90% of bolts I come across - including wheels. If there's anywhere it can't get, the electric ratchet usually takes care of it.

De Walt 18v rarely gets used, but makes quick work of thoe bolts the 12v can't do. A Milwaukee one would be nice, but this was half the price.

I added the 12v drill and 1/4 hex driver for jobs around the house and they do the job nicely.

I couldn't go back to working without powertools now

I've got this version with a 2.0ah on and it lasts about 6 hours on constant use.

Only just found this thread, I've changed all my tools to Milwaukee from DeWalt last year. This is my favourite purchase so far M12 sds, brilliant for drilling upto 16mm holes and much easier than dragging my old 36v about.

For anything bigger I get the M18 out the van.

So these came with the tools I won the other day, never really paid attention to Sealey stuff but it’s similar quality wise to the Ryobi.

Drill & impact are really nice, metal chucks feels solid a good buy if your looking for budget tools.

Recip saw is pants.

Angle grinder I’m actually seriously impressed with at first it seemed really underpowered but it seems to cut at a similar rate to my Milwaukee but it’s much quieter.

I'm sure the M18FPD I have is a 9/16-18 UNF thread for the chuck. I bought a 1/2 thread one after BigRed's website said it would fit... when it clearly f**king doesn't🙄

Locks up so you're unable to undo it unless you use a pair of grips.

Fairly common, but keeping it lubed with WD-40 or light oil every now and again helps a lot.

If you want Milwaukee parts, equipment or service my mate normally does great prices. They can repair upgrade etc too if needed.

Just ring CJ Sinclair and ask for Kyle guy. Tell him Frosty sent you and he should sort you out. They have loads of pack out too, sale stuff etc. I get all my stuff from him.
