Lol never get that problem with makita 👍🏻😜
I’m just about to start on my power tool journey, have a mixture of Dewalt and Makita in work and nothing at home. Renovating my house over the next few years...thoughts on this to get me started? SDS drill next.

I've got the same one, proper good piece of kitGoing to be doing lots of DIY in the new house so just bought this. Can't wait to give it a whirl!
Decent price really, didn't want to spend the extra £50 for the WiFi version as I must have used the WiFi on my drill and impact gun once in total 😂

Sounds like what I'll be doing tonight #valentinesdayI've got the same one, proper good piece of kit
Dangerous putting it into setting 3, ploughs 6 inch screws into timber like a hor knife through butter😂
Saw that! Apparently if the model was made after Dec 2020 then it has the extra ball bearing in the chuck. Will see what this one has! Wonder if I'll be using it enough to tellKeep an eye on the chuck thing on those gen 3 impact drivers boys.
They're known for having a poor grip on the bits and the bits can just fall out.
There's a gen 3.5 which fixes the issue. A new updated chuck isn't that expensive if yours does it.

Niiiiiice!! Can go deep body cavity searching later
That'll go for hours with a 4.0ah on it 😅
Haha yeah! Didn’t come with a battery it’s just nicked off my drill.
I'm an Electrician and 90% of the holes I drill are 5.5mm, the M12 is so much lighter and easier to manoeuvre especially in tight spaces and on steps/ladders.
James stop asking why, just welcome him to team red 😂
What are the issues as such? Drill bit slipping in the chuck? For those having issues with the chucks on the combis, there's a Rohm option available to replace it. Double check it's the right one though as it was a while back I researched replacements /upgrades.
I'm sure the M18FPD I have is a 9/16-18 UNF thread for the chuck. I bought a 1/2 thread one after BigRed's website said it would fit... when it clearly f**king doesn't🙄For those having issues with the chucks on the combis, there's a Rohm option available to replace it.
