Nah you have to have the proof of purchase, the battery has to be under warranty, within the warranty period and you have to send them the specific label with a unique reference number they provide after they've approved an exchange

I sent them a picture of the serial with that sticker since the serial is etched onto the battery casing

Ok but as long as you buy a 12ah battery from a genuine seller you can get another free just lose the sticker on yours? 🤨 sounds a good deal tbh

Haha yeah it’s very top heavy without the battery.
So actually easier to wield with the battery in. Even though it makes it heavier overall. If that makes sense?

I man mathsed the hell out of this. Started by looking at a £20 Parkside rotary tool from Lidl, then looked at a £200 Dremel. Settled on a £60 Ryobi because it was an absolute bargain compared to the Dremel, decided to ignore the fact it was 3 times more than I was originally planning to spend 🙃

Joking aside, I has a peen, its just then ill be buying into the red eco system. Ive got plenty of Ryobi batteries and, for me, I just dont need tools that are that good. Other than DIY and some mechanic bits, I dont use power tools. I cant justify the extra

It’s not something we use every day so I’d imagine yes it would last forever. Just depends how often you’re going to use it. The only thing I’ve found that really chews the batteries is the m12 die grinders.

Tbh I don’t need it, but had to do a job the other day where I used about 100 rivets and got bored very quickly of doing it manually!

I have all Ryobi stuff. Their impact gun is pretty decent for the money.

Worth checking out what torque you need for subframe bolts, adding 20% and then looking at specs on the impacts

I wouldn't buy a 1 off chinese tool like that, best to stick to a proper brand so you can buy different tool bodies and stick to the same quality battery. Corded tools are another story.

As above buy the decent impact gun as the cheap ones arent worth a look.

Dewalt dcp 899 is decent if you want a cheaper option than red. Ive hammered mine for years and does most jobs with ease, crank pulleys, subframe bolts etc no problem at all.

I have a few titan bits for where I just can't justify the Makita prices and they're all absolutely spot on.

Their SDS drills are disposable money and brilliant for chiselling out and generally s**t work that you don't want to ruin proper tools on.
