secondly im going to borrow a mates polisher and do the rx7... what i wanna know is what products after polishing i should use?? he has the polisher and polish but i wanna get my own products to use on it after polishing...

what cleanser sealer and wax should i look at??

been told about dodo juice?? its for a black paint and i want it looking really deep and wet also places to get it would be good :)

Right....JDM paint is relatively soft. However very few are on original paint. I did a red RX7 a couple of years back. Was a categoric nightmare, 6 diff colours and not one of them was consistent.

I used Compounding pad, 3.02 menz, but imo it needs 3M Fast cut plus and then refined on a finishin pad with something like....swissvax cleaner fluid or even Super resin. Can't see you buyin lots of stuff!!!

Your foam lance is fine also.

Imo. use whats available to you. Buy a 3.02 or bodyshop polish, med to high cut, don't worry about the gloss. Use the finishing stage to bring up the shine.

Buy EGP as it's easy to get, Or if you want a better seal buy CG blitz, lasts for ages and if your serious about keepin the car looking good, it's a on-off product post washin!

Wax - Take your choice, Swissvax ONXY is great on black. As is Pete's 53# << Cheap too.

Work 1ft x 1ft area's. RX7's are decent to polish tho as they flow nicely.

Pics from that dreaded hungover day.

Didn't think the standard Karcher foamer would be any good with snow foam, will need to give it a go. Where's the best place to get snow foam, guessing it will have to be mail order?

Bilt hamber autofoam seems to be the latest 'best' foam on dw.

As ali said jap paint is usually very soft so you shouldn't have too much trouble improving the finish. What machine is it your using? Well worth having a look at the guides on detailing world, they'll explain the process and also the different grades of polish etc.

Only heard good things about BH snow foam, but depends on what you deem is necessary.

Agreed on the advice Rich has given about reading up on the guides. Don't just go bowling into it.

TBH Burnin paint is Bloody hard to do. Your more likely to nick an edge or Induce MicroMarring! Which is a cnut to get out!

Ha, I still need to put up the pics of the '8 detail from last weekend. Back was shattered by the time I had done Lee's 182 on the Monday evening!
