project: liquid yellow 182

hey everyone, i looking for websites etc... were i can buy engine dress up parts (eg: engine covers, samco coolant hose kit, battery cover etc...) and was wondering if anyone knew of any sites other than k-tec that supplies these parts as k-tec have only a limited selection for engine dress up.

also does anyone know of a place that polishes engine components (not nesscesarly chrome, but just making them shiney or mirror finish).

would be a great help if anyone could point me in the right direction.

What are you thinking of getting polished? I quite like the idea of polishing the inlet pipes that can be seen through the engine cover, then added a carbon fibre engine cover. It's been done before and looks quite good imo. What colour hoses aswell, I can't imagine anything other than black looking good with the LY

yea im looking to get the inlet pipes done and ive jus recieved the carbon fibre cover from k-tec. obviously dressing the engine up is a starting point as much more is in store for the LY but havent made my mind up on what direction to take it, show car or track day car. once ive made that decision ill get more involved with heavier mods and styling. just thought the only part of the car that doesnt look to great at the minute was the engine so might aswel start there while i make my mind up.

why are people let down by this thread?

Let us know how you get on with polishing the inlet, I'm not sure if this is something I want to ackle myself yet or pay for someone to do it for me.
