"Pro's" at it again

found this beauty earlier, awesome idea to fit an exhaust cam seal on the inlet!

notice how the dephaser pulley has machined a nice groove into the seal, the dephaser was sitting proud approx 5mm from where it normally sits, tippex cambelt, engine is now scrap

and people say us specialists arent needed and any old garage can work on F4R's, point proven

ive seen 2 correct inlet seals stacked on each other (ph-reebone ;))

never seen someone fit an exhaust seal on the inlet!

It isn't but some people think they are god if you have the right tools and look at a timing book anyone can do it done around 20. We as in the garage I work for spend £££££££'s on timing tools but yet going by cliosport we aren't fit to work on a Clio jog on

There's another thread on here where I say pretty much the same. The problem is to work on a car and open your garage you don't have to be any form registered, qualified even. So 'mechanics get branded the same'. I used to work and did my apprenticeship with the MET police, I did a 4 year apprenticeship that included everything from tyres to engineering.
As said there, i'm confident to do it myself, I have done two now, got a third booked in. Its not hard to do as long as you actually know what your doing!

ive had to fix main dealer attempts at cambelts, yes, even a main dealer can screw up the timing, its the process thats important!
