rear axle hub bolts

  Radical SR3
in the process of fitting 1deg shims on the rear. I read on here the rear bolts should be torqued to 57nm for m10 and 27 for m8...is this right? I tightened 1 and without getting to the torque setting and the head snapped. As these 4 bolts essentially hold the wheels to the axle im not happy with them.

Do i need to go to renault for new bolts and nuts? Seems hard to find countersunk m8 and m10 for the job.

He sells all you need, 50mm does the job. If you tell him its for a clio rear axle to hub he should remember the order.

Doing the shims when i had the bits took around an hour a side? Getting the old nuts off was fine. Just make sure everything is clean and the rear pistons fully wound in.

The rear bolts i did to 61nm for m10 and 33nm for m8, hub lug nut 175nm.

I ended up doing rear dust seals, new brembo discs, yellow stuff pads, bearing and 1deg shims.

Will get pics up if you want to see.

Thanks Nightspirit.

Sounds just like my plans although I have Quiche Lorraines and 2 degree shims.

Pics would be great.
