rear wheel bearings????

ive got a early shape 172 clio.
i have just fitted 2 new rear wheel bearings and for some reason the centre nut on 1 side keeps loosing its self off.any ideas?????
i cant do the nut up really tight with the nut gun because it stops the disc from turning.there is a small metal washer behind the disc would it have something to do with that??????????

there should be a spacer behind the disc iirc

Are you using new hub nuts?

rear hub nut should be 175NM

your bearing isnt pressed in right, or you have fitted the washer the wrong way round.

yeah brand new nuts that was in the kit with a a nylon washer insert.

when i do it up really tight the disc wont turn.so i let it off a bit and after a week or so it is loose again

what way does the washer go round?
im sure i put both sides on the same,and 1 side is fine.

you can see the stub axel is taperd at one end, the washer/spacer is pressed to fit this ridge.
