Recent activities! Wheel refurbing and trophy damper makeover!

Just thought id post a few pics of what I've been up to with my car and the gf's...

Refurbed Amys wheels in gloss black using aerosol cans.. they are a bit orange peely in these pics, but I rubbed them down with a fine scotch pad and then re lacquered them with a compressor and paint gun afterwards and now look like glass. Got some trophy suspension, tried it on to see if i liked it, was blown away by their performance so decided to spruce them up with a bit of paint and fit my sportlines that I had on the old cup dampers, good improvement on an excellent setup.

Also did the rears but didnt bother with progress pics...

ull regret the black 182 wheels im geting mine refurbed back anthracite mon it makes all the plastic look gray also needs cleaning every 2 days also the tyres hav to be tyre geled every 2 min good luck anyway lol

They arent for my car, and I did say that to the mrs before hand, but hey try convincing a woman mate! But none the less when they are clean and the tyres are gel'd up, they really set the car off!

yea when thyre clean they do look mint but i only drive aroud 15 miles a week and have to clean them every 2-3 days

What paint did you use on the sachs?

Yeah they are amazing! Used UPOL wheel silver 1k (single pack) in rattle cans, then laquered with 1k clear.

Cheers matey, yeah they are truly excellent! The difference may be difficult to notice at first, but you soon realise all the extra grip you get in the corners allows you to take them at phenominal speeds! Combined with the eibach sportlines they are a perfect package for fast road use!

Whats the little bottle for thats on the front shocks?

They are remote reservoirs for the damper fluid, the adjuster on the top is pinned in place, however it can be removed to allow for adjustable dampening, however I found the setting renault had pinned it to absolutely perfect so I didn't bother removing it!
