remove wing mirror covers? (how to?)

I need to change my temp sensor... When I was at the scrappies i used a screwdriver to just prise the covers off but obviously since it is my own car I want to make sure this is the best method and dont want to break any clips etc!

Any advise would be appreciated

Can you get to it from behind the actual mirror glass?
It's easier to pop off with a screwdriver - just go easy on it and readjust your mirrors when you refit them

I dont think so, need to remove the wing mirror covers afaik. Any advise for this?

Haven't done that before mate, but I'd say a tiny flat screwdriver or knife &
a steady hand to prise the clips apart at the top, then tilt it away from the mirror.

iirc u get the wing mirror covers of by poppin the glass out and unclipin the mirror covers, be carefull when doin so though.

I just used a small screwdriver to prise the cover off... all clips still intact!
