Clio sport cup
So after owning a phase 1 Clio 172 many years ago and giving up on my mini turbo build I decided to look for a phase 2 cup.
this is what I found in may 2012

A straight Cup in pretty tidy condition with
new Vmaxx coilovers
2118 wheels with federal rsr tyres
Custom made exhaust
New brembo discs all round with red stuff front pads and ferodo rears
For my first Hill climb the car stayed as id bought it for my first ever experience of hill climbing and after a cautious first and 2nd run I started to enjoy it but like all hill climbs its over.
As that was my only event in 2013 it gave me plenty of time to have a play and get the car running better for the next year.
First item I purchased what a set of Oz f1's and a set of toyo r888's, next I purchased a sparco bucket seat and a set of poly car windows.
I then bought myself a fibre glass bonnet and boot and a half roll cage.

Throughout last seasons hill climb the car was work in progress with the following added
Whiteline Arb
K-tec Racing solid engine and gearbox mounts
K-tec decat
and finally got her rolling road mapped at 189bhp
Got as much of the interior out as I could for now as it isn't needed.
Finished my first full season at my local hill climb winning there championship for my class and overall winner from all 3 classes so now the work started for this year.....
first job on the list was to look for what I needed and wanted so the first items on the list were
K-tec solid top mounts
KW v2 coilovers
Got to work on the coilover and got them and the top mounts fitted within a few hours and I must say its much better having some damping adjustment!

After that work was done I started looking for a set of 2118's and a JMS RS2 intake system, and after a few weeks of looking I managed to get hold of a decent RS2 for a decent price, so got to work getting it fitted and what a pain in the arse it was trying to do the bolts underneath the box but persistence paid off in the end!
First thing I noticed was how grotty the engine looked like so gave it a good clean and a spot of paint to tidy it up and make the rest of the engine look as good as the carbon intake.
Gave it a lick of gold paint and bought some Magnecore Ht leads to go with the tidying up, I think it looks a ok

also fitted some K-tec spacers on the front and have some rear behind hub spacers with 2 degree camber to fit when I get chance.
