Renault Insurance WTF

Received my renewal letter form Renault insurance this morning after my years free insurance, it expires 1st September, According to the letter

"they are pleased to advise me that my existing comprehensive cover is available at the following premium (inclusive of insurance premium tax):-

......

........you ready for this?......

12 months cover £22.05

Six minutes to go till they open and I can see if they are for real?!!

dont bother ringing, just except it. They will have to charge you that price and you have got it on the letter to prove it. Surely they cant charge more than they have advertised or offered you, it will be breaking trading standards.

Unfortunately not! They dont have to honour the price, Doh!! Oh well, Actually they want £1649 off me, Mainly so much cos I have a claim in progress which is not my fault I have a witness and so hopefully will go through quickly, then they say it will be £849 which is not too bad but not as good as Liverpool Victoria and Liverpool Victorias excess is much lower!!
