Reusing droplink/arb bush nut

Car  1.2 16v Dynamique
Apologies if this has been covered before, a search of the web is providing conflicting info.

I need to replace my arb bushes (droplinks?) on my 1.2 16v clio. Went and collected the parts earlier, and I have only realised that there are no new bolts with both of them.

Is it ok to reuse the nut on the car now? Should I be using some sort of locking compound?

Having looked again it seems some you buy online come with a nut and some dont.

Dont want to start taking the old ones off if I am going to have to source two new nuts!

Thanks for the help

Should really have a locking compound on them.
You can buy a couple of lock nuts for a few pence or get a tube of locktite and use that.

No doubt some people re-use old bolts, but it's best practise to get new (and for the low-low price, why wouldn't you?).

Thanks, yeah I suppose that makes sense. Haven't done something like this before so just wanted to be sure!

Would anyone know if its just a standard 13m nut M8 nut?

Yea should be, M8x1.25 is the most common size IIRC.

Not sure if a 1.2 is a similar set Up to a 172 but when I changed my outer bushes both of bolts were seized and snapped off anyway lol

Cheers for the help folks! Got them sorted this evening. One took some amount of hammering (and swearing) ant the other I just had to cut the bolt.

Wasn't too sure how much to tighten them up, left about .75cm of thread coming out the bottom of the bolt. Rubber doesn't seem too stressed.
