Hi guys.

Looking to buy GPS based detector, with laser detection.

Want something thats easily transferred betweer vehicles (courtesy/hire cars), BUT has the option of External Laser/GPS antenna, so that I can have it neatly installed on my permanent vehicle (without wires all over the place).

Any ideas?

Dont worry about the laser detection, its a useless.


Just concentrate on the GPS antenna. I have considered an RA2 as they look the dogs but its the trouble getting a signal with the damn windscreen that bothers me. Cant be assed to wire up an antenna.

Run the extention ariel to back time about 5 to 150min to do Laser helpfully round my way picks up Bus lane camera etc But as for laser guns agree not much point

I have a Snooper S4..

My 172 has a "heat reflective" screen but I still get 4 outa 5 Signal Bars with the inbuilt antenna.. Works a treat..

So No Need for a Remote antenna

Stupid question: Can you get any of these things that will run off a battery(s) as I dont want to start messing around running leads down the back of the dash on my brand new motor and it looks crap having the lead dangling down over the dash and into the fag lighter socket.


Also gets on me tits everytime you park up havin to remove the stereo, then remove the Road Angel and unplug the power lead etc...

Im worried about having something so expensive, so obviously on display in my window... any way of hiding it in a box or summat?

Ive got a Origin B2

Youll need a second car kit if you want to transfer between motors £90.

Its designed to easily unclip and put in your back pocket as well.

Definatly impressed with it.....
