Loving this! Monaco blue is the best colour imo! Will look really good once you have the turinis fitted!

Been busy today..!

Had a shave

Got rid of this off the seats nicely

Engine back together with matched inlets and induction

Cleaned the underside and all the arches.. Jacked it up..

All this came out..

Snowfoamed and cleaned all the cars

Cheers mate it's took a long time but it looks like a different car.. Really put the hours in but I'm over the moon with how the paint has turned out

Some fresh plates arrived from fancyplates

How it currently sits.. Awaiting paint gonna get the rear bumper, spoiler and petrol cap done

Going to get the plates on tonight, paint the disc/caliper and when I have a spare 5 mins im going to take the arch liners off clean behind them and waxoyl everything

Think wheel refurb/Coilovers are next on the list but first I need to fit my Polybush dogbone mount, get the belts and dephaser done. The cv boot is torn so will need to replace that too.

Powerflex dogbone arrived going to fit this Sunday weather permitting

It's booked in now for belts and dephaser at diamond motors in a couple weeks and Bodyshop tues

Dogbone on this sorted the vibrating/knocking noise

Just had its MOT which it passed

Needs new rear discs

2xtrack rods

And nr side top mount..

Pure Motorsport top mounts and strut brace is on its way now too to sort that issue and will be refreshing suspension and track rods very soon.. Probably with coilovers

Thanks, certainly needs coilovers! Mainly to refresh the suspension and get it all firmed up but also to lower the ride height!

The arrival from Pure Motorsports today should help by getting rid of the old knackered top mounts and replacing with this set up

Cheers Davo it's good to be back! I'm enjoying this project and getting everything fixed up etc especially when I can't really use the supra in this weather.

Took the 172 for a good blast the other night down some B roads on the way back from a friends house and certainly had a smile on my face

This reminds me that I need to get on with my car.

So it's back with everything the right colour.. Spoiler and rear bumper have had a fresh spray

Haven't had a chance to clean it so this is the only *frozen* pic I have.. More to follow

Steering was feeling a little vague so I have replaced track rods (MOT Advisory) and top mounts.. Top mounts were really fooked!

Off with the old

And in with the new..
Moog track rods - I was told by carspares they were the premium brand and tbf seem a good quality item.. We will see how they stand up!

New PMS Solid Top Mounts on.. So far I am VERY impressed.. Great feel, no real adverse effect but car feels worlds apart really happy! Shocks weren't in great condition either so will be changing them soon and it should then handle exceptionally well

If I can give you one word of advice as I have the same top mounts, is use a locking nut on them as they will come loose! Happened to me before last month so I put the original top mount nut on top of the sleeve nut provided acting as a lock nut and touch wood it's been perfect since.

If you don't want to and intend on throwing those nuts away please send one of them to me though as I lost one and had to make do with a chunky horrible nut instead :tongueout: haha

I did put approximately 1 s**t load (technical term) of thread lock on there so should be okay as I did think that!

Decided to start it the other day and give it a few revs keep it all moving!



How it stands with bumper painted and spoiler

Dropped up to mick at diamond motors who did the belts and dephaser pulley..

Absolute legend.. Very happy with the service and the car feels amazing to drive now.. Dephaser was properly screwed! Cannot recommend him enough

Mick also reported that the engine mount was goosed so I will be fitting a new one along with some new front tyres as I've got a slow puncture

Good excuse for some federal 595 RSR's I think!

Fueled up and took it for a blast round Wales with the Mrs this weekend

Car performed flawlessly got a track day on Tuesday so tomorrow will be checking everything over.. Just hope my federal 595 RSR's arrive in time [emoji51]

Car is so dirty now! Will be cleaning it tomorrow and il get some more shots [emoji16]

That looks awesome, I like the Turini's how they are with the colour it suits the car, makes them look meaner (If that makes sense)
I like the little small touches too like changing the indicator bulbs, such a small cheap mod but makes a massive difference IMO

Cheers mate thanks I got to admit the colour is growing on me

tbh I haven't spent all that much on the car... It's more just small mods and improvements that make the big difference.

Just detailing it I think completely changed the look of the car!

Cup spoiler also I think really helps

Nothing much to report at the moment..

Been using the supra more in the nice weather and money has been tied up with other things so very little progress on the clio recently

Painted the calipers to give them a refresh.

And yet another machine polish and finish.. This time the paint is pretty much perfect!

And got the club sticker in

Yeah trackday was good mate definitely want to firm everything up a little more though.. Coilovers, RARB and a smaller steering wheel.. Also want to get a map on it.. RS Tuner I think but going to get wheels refurbed first..
