rokkor coilovers fitted, but have doing in springs on full lock

  Metallic blue Clio 1.2
the bearing musn't be fitted right at the top of the coilovers, this should have been fitted just the same as it was when the standard springs where in, i think it is the flat side down

just fitted new bearings and top mounts :( what the hell is making the noise :( its sooo loud and embaressing...somethings got to be set wrong :(

anyone have a pic of how a coilover should be with the existing top mount attached, jus to see if its wrong how ive done them :(

heres a quick diagram

Bearing should be ontop of the strut, not ontop of the rubber mount.

From the pic I would say the entire rubber mount is upside down.

Fred fitted bigger washers to the top of mine underneath the top hat and removed the helper springs. No more twanging and I was a happy man!

removed the helper spring completely?? would that not make it really low? n extra bouncy?? n also i was trying to show the bearing separate, ussually sits in rubber mount but bearing nearest top right?

The helper spring is only there for when the car loses all of its weight ie over a hump back bridge for example. I'm not in the habit of doing jumps in the car so its fine! In all seriousness, I did a few track days in it and I didn't notice a blind bit of difference! Except when there was no clunking!
