RS engine mount modification *pic*

Hey guys, right today like alot of RS owners i got to my final tether with the gear stick movement and something had to be done, fitted a new dog bone which i dont think has done much because the one that came off was fine...

I looked at the mount on the drivers side and noticed a gap between the rubber and metal so when you let off there is a fair bit of room for it to move, then i remembered from my 306 rallye days it was the same on those, and people chocked them using polyurathene rubber or a metal bracket etc so i decided to do the same...with a bit of rubber for now, The result is a much smoother and less jerky ride :) gearstick only moves now cause of the actually play in the stick, anyone know of any fixes for this ? :)

Pic of my work (awaits being slated)

Cant really bend it in Mini valver because the furthest point out on the rubber is quite far down and its quite strong metal , i did try that first, you can see from the marks ive made :|

Itl ooks like the metal is bent out though as a pose to a square box?

Not sure, thats how it was standard there were no marks at all on it previously. its deffiently not been bent outwards though. :)

can you buy the buffers seperately or do they only come with a new top mount?

i changed all of my mounts yesterday and did notice that the new buffers fill the new top mount, whereas the old ones were quite worn and allowed the engine to be rocked back and forth a fair old bit

should be able to post you one at some point tomorrow.

the buffers are mounted on a bracket and are separate to the main mount - if you could buy the buffers/bracket separately, that'd sort it.
