When you say blueprinted .. do you mean you followed the manufacturers original engine blueprint ?

all parts and tollerances have specific performance specs... these are followed.

ring gaps
piston to bore clearance
etc
etc

its going in an audi s3, its teh same type of engine that matt has in his clio tt thingy....

Andy is that going in one of your cars/customer? I love the S3 am thinking about getting one next year didnt know you deal with them aswell.

yup, its a customers car. we are doing two of them. one more modified than the other.

we do french (mostly) and german cars... (audis and bmw)

Is there any problems with the tranny or Haldex with the power that will be pushing out?

Sounds like a superb spec that.
Just a question though does running the stand alone ECU present any problems with the all wheel drive or anyhting else?
Also how come you've gone down the stand alone route I throught the stock ECU had been so worked upon now that the stock setup could be remapped much cheaper than a stand alone setup would cost.

its going in the dyno cell, so its much easier to work with that way... its not actually costing that much to use the stand alone.....

it wont cause any problems with the haldex.

AJR, yup.... its the kitchen.... well i eat most of my meals there so i guess...

i was up there the other day & saw this beauty!!!! Awesome is the word that comes to mind lol 400+ bhp in an S3!!! i wish it was mine!!! oh & yoz i think if i remember rightly it's going in the blue one, correct me if i'm wrong andy.
Another class peice of work from GDI!!!

can i just ask what the total cost is going to be mate and would that really fit into a clio!! By heck that engine is capable of alot of va va voom

fitting into a clio is a large ish job.... its been done and I was talking to matt about it today..

we are going to offer the conversion as that would sit well with our work...

French and German cars..

costwise.... really depends on the build spec.... this one is high spec..

Whats the standard output for this engine then?

You could use my car to develop the conversion if you want with a 50% discount obviously;)

get in line sucka !!! ;)

early S3's put out 210 ish ... then were upped to 225. The 1.8T was offered by vag in tons of forms 150,167,180,190,210, 225 .....
