Thanks! Got my fibreglass door cards coming tomorrow (I Hope) and fitting my bumper canards tomorrow evening.
Then there is quite a list, will be changing suspension, wheels, new passenger seat + harness, pms shifter and pms top mounts and brace.. The list could go on..
Funnily enough I am in Wateringbury probably 3 nights a week at least 😂, so unsure how you haven't seen me! Thanks, I am extremely happy with the colour!

Yeah its candy red, Really has a lot of flake which looks very good in sunlight. Initially I was just going to get gloss red, but a few friends persuaded me to go candy red, which i'm now glad I did :up:.
I agree, they are just incredible.
So decided to change over my ht leads after managing to pinch one whilst refitting my inlet manifold. Bit of a boring update.
Car is now on Gaz coilovers which are a huge amount stiffer than the Cooksport springs and cup dampers. Haven't taken it on track since the suspension change but it will be interesting to see.
Also I have fitted my passenger seat. There is a photo of the Omp subframe just incase people have wondered how these fit. Very happy with the interior at the moment. Got to get my passenger TRS Harness then I will be done for a while on the inside!

Thankyou Graham, Okay I have a photo from when I had carpet in 😂. But will show how they were fitted. 2 holes drilled, Eyelets with spreader plate beneath the car. Hope it helps!
Decided it would be a good idea to get the car immaculate before the summer. So spent the day yesterday cleaning it and painting some of the plastics!
Also a couple of photos of it next to my friends Saxo race car which is getting ready for paint!

Looks fantastic buddy, this has really come a long way!
Had an awesome trip over in Germany at the Nurburgring, can't wait to go again. First time I have been over there in my own car. Doubt I would go again without it [emoji2]! Managed a 9 minute 3 second lap which I am happy with. I did 9 laps in total over the 3 days I was there.

So its been 5 months since my last update.. Never planned on being this long since updating my "project".
Luckily I have now been able to take the Clio off the road. So the decision has been made, which is that I am going to make it an ultimate track toy for myself.
Since the last update I haven't done a huge amount apart from fit uprated engine mounts..

So the starter motor died about a month ago and the gearbox is crunching 2nd to 3rd at high rpm. So thought i would just pull the engine and gearbox out at once.
Car will be roadworthy by March.. around the time I hopefully have the next car :smile:!

And i shall be tarting the engine up. Aiming for it to look immaculate before it gets bolted back in.

- Relocate battery underneath passenger seat. (Odyssey / Redtop 25 battery)
- All battery wiring, through panel connector, inline 300 amp fuse etc..
- Kill switch
- Fire extinguisher
- Powdercoat engine parts
- Cambelt change
- Lightweight Pulleys ( Power steering + Aircon delete)
- Lightened flywheel
- Gearbox rebuild
- Non power steering rack
- Brake lines through interior, Brake bias valve including hydraulic handbrake

Yeah it can vary quite drastically. Your new motor is very niceYeah I bet that's a nice bit of variety!
So...turbo while the engines out?
! I'm not sure what I'm going to do power wise..

Shame you weren't at the hop farm meet yesterday, there was a turbo'd one and a bodied one there. Went out in the turbo one which is running 350 at the wheels lol bricks were shat!
What makes it worse is I did nothing yesterday. Not happy. Haha depends if a very good deal was done :wink:

Lovely so far, very juicy compared to the clio though! Felt weird driving the 172 the other day after not changing gear for a few weeks lol.
They are very nice to drive. Im looking at getting an e90 or e92 M3 next year. Cant wait for fuel economy.
