Sat Nav PDA Question

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
I'm in the market for a sat nav unit, and my mate recomended buying a PDA off ebay, and getting the top of the range tom tom software loaded on ot it (he can get this done for free for me). Then he said i needa little reciever that you canb get for £15 and a windscreen mount with an in car charger, he said this will work out MUCH cheaper than buyinga decent sat nav.

My question is how much is a PDA going to cost me? All i want is the sat nav on it, so spec isnt important.

Where can i get one from?

Where do i get al lthe otehr gubbins from?

thanks

If you bought that PDA you would need to get the tomtom car holder for that PDA and the tomtom 'diamond shape' wired gps receiver to plug into the holder as it does not look if that PDA has bluetooth.

Another option if you wanted to use that PDA is to buy a SD slot gps receiver with inbuilt memory like the Globalsat SD502(around £115) because there is only one SD slot.

It would be better to find a PDA with Bluetooth or buy a nokia 6630/6680 smart phone, bluetooth gps receiver and memory card off fleabay, then just load TTM5 onto it, only downside is smaller screen and no touch screen.

A mate of mine picked up a 6630, gps receiver, memory card and ttm5 off fleabay for under £100.
