Screw on battery terminal,wiring amp???HELP

One of me mates has a 106 and just went to wire the live wire to the battery but on both terminals the car has them gay french screw on adapters on the round terminals and cannot make a good connection with the battery whats the best way to get around this please people???

crimp a lug onto the end of the cable?

its all one unit tho mate, do you no what i mean the funny star thing which sits on the battery terminal then the actual wiring then has a screw bit and screws on to the terminal theres no where to crimp thats the trouble!

ahh i see

i thought you had a screw down terminal on the batt and you needed to find away to attach a cable

nah mate its more complicated, cheers tho dink, just dont wanna go cutting the whole thing off, might go speak to pugeots and see what they say!!i thought these types of terminals were only for the negative side, but apparantly not!!!
someones got to have got around this before!!!!

i had a 206 with what sounds a similar setup, i took my live from the alternator feed which links into the engine bay fuse box, that has a proper nut on it

im afraid i havent got a photo, but what russ has said sounds like quite a good idea might have a look at that see if we can work our magic out!!

worked a treat mate, didnt get any headlight dim at all and was running 2 jbl amps powering sub, 6*9s and comps. i no the 307s are wired the same also so im 90% sure the 106 will be the same to.

my 205gti had a right fooking bodge with a citroen cable on it, fell off a couple of times. not great....
