Sky signal graining?

I need some help...

Ok so basically we have sky in our house, we have a booster box in the attic which then sends the sky around the house,

For some reason in the main living room of the house the sky signal is really bad, its never been good and has lines that grain across it? ive been up in the loft and pulled all the wires out of the booster and plugged them back in etc, taken the ariel socket off the wall and re-wired it but still to no avail...

Anybody on here work for sky/ariel fitters?

I have no idea where to go from here bar getting an ariel man out....but as i know people on here have many skills thought id ask on here and see if anyones had the same problem?

It's definately interference. Are you outputting via the rf? If so.

Change the UHF channel on the Sky box to an empty one and you should be good, to do this go to Services, press 4, 0, 1 and Select. Then choose RF Outlets.

i assume so? what do you mean by changing the rf to another channel? its currently on c 21 when i go to that screen, still looks grainy though..

Change it in services menu as I've shown above, it nuatbw outputting on the same UHF as something else close by which is introducing interference.

oh right i get you, ive basically been through all the different uhf channels, it was set to 21 by the sky man before when he fitted it, but ive done 68, 55,50,45,40,35, is it worth going to individual channels that arent in use. But i never really notice it on the other tv's seems to just be my 50" Samsung plasma that there is line graining that goes across the screen and kind of in boxes of static

But to be honest your sky box shouldn't be connected to the main set via coax, should be rgb scart.
