Love it.
Anyone want to hazard a guess to how many have been sold since launch 4 weeks ago?

One of the best bits about having recordings is the ability to fast forward through all the adverts. I take it you can't do that with Glass?
Interesting... I wonder how much they will charge after that. There is a “skip ads” function. Which is free for 12 months as far as I gather.

It's £5 per month thereafter however I presume new contracts / deals will come out and you'll never end up paying that £5.Interesting... I wonder how much they will charge after that.
Is that £81 just TV package or broadband too? It's £5 per month thereafter however I presume new contracts / deals will come out and you'll never end up paying that £5.
I've ordered the large one in black today. Current sky package is £69 per month, same sky package when contract is up next month will go to £125, ordered the large TV with everything I have currently for £81 per month.
So how many sold?

Just tell us the figure.A lot. I kind of regret saying that because it’s probably not something to be published on an open forum.

See, this is where Sky pricing is absolutely mental, just plucked out of the air.Finance of the TV £21, sky package (everything bar sports) £60
Currently paying £69 for sky Q, everything bar sports.
Don't have internet with Sky.
Interestingly getting the finance for the TV works out cheaper than buying the TV outright
That sounds decent.
There are plenty customers like for like package is cheaper with glass. Because you don’t pay for HD now and plenty are paying more for signature on Q.
I think the big difference will be the flexibility for customers. That price is without discount (12 months ad skipping apart) and in a rol
How long have you been with sky? My dad has had it 13 years and get obscene deals when renewing, I've been with them 5 years and it appears to be a struggle each time.See, this is where Sky pricing is absolutely mental, just plucked out of the air.
I have Q and I pay £69 for everything including sports and fibre. Granted it was an offer and I'll have to re negotiate again at the end of my term but they pretty much matched my last deal and threw in a newer router for me.
It was my first renewal. I'd previously been with them but they wouldn't budge so I went to BT. Told Sky this when I wanted to stay on (Sky is lightyears ahead of BT with everything IMO) and the woman came back with £100 maybe instead of the £145 it would have been. I ended up getting it down to £69 eventually which I'm happy with. How long have you been with sky? Happy with the deal I have, if the TV is crap I can send it back and go to Q again
I've had mine for a week, no issues (so far) with the puck. Which I've used a lot more than the actual TV. Generally it all seems to work quite well except...
The really annoying thing is randomly not being able to restart programs. Some work fine however the Masked Singer is in my playlist but we were doing something else so it was 15mins in when we came to watch it, but couldn't watch it from the start, there was no option. However as soon as the program finished we could then watch it from the start on ITV hub. Really annoying and it makes the whole 'playlist' thing completely pointless and it's not how Glass was marketed.
Even you said in an earlier comment that it would "store your recordings in the cloud" and this is what most of the marketing implied. But it's not true, there is no 'recording' of anything as far as I can tell. It's not all bad, but it's not good at the moment. This is the biggest single customer complaint at the moment. No one has really mashed together live and on demand content like this before. And although it seems an obvious weakness. It obviously wasn’t obvious enough. Sure it will be fixed. But there might be some dependancy on content producers making their content available on demand earlier.

I hope not, but then I do miss being able to watch tv when the internet goes down!!The fancy adverts and it sounds like there are lots of issues. Anyone taking bets they scrap this off after a couple years?
I doubt it, it's much cheaper to sell TV through the internet than messing around with satellites and dishes, they'll sort the problems given some time. The fancy adverts and it sounds like there are lots of issues. Anyone taking bets they scrap this off after a couple years?

No, it never records like Q. It's all just streamed, which is generally fine. You add things to a playlist and click on them to watch them.Does it not record like Q where you can catch up/start from the beginning etc or is it just streamed?
So, I don't have sky sports at the moment and would hope that with them it wouldn't be a problem and the 'start from beginning' function will work 100% of the time. If the game is with another provider like BT or BBC then it appears that it may work sometimes... other times you have to wait until the program has finished to watch it from the beginning through the provider's own app. What happens with things like football and other sports? Sometimes I’ll sit down to watch a match but might have had it on record and end up watching it y 10-20 minutes late. Can I do that with Glass?
